Imagine a future where everyone has instant, low-cost access to intelligence. We're building a fully featured European AI cloud — with everything one needs to train, experiment with, and deploy AI models. In addition, our GPUs run on 100% renewable energy.
We’re ambitious, curious, and pragmatic builders. We operate with low hierarchy, high ownership, and a strong bias for action. We’ve already achieved a lot, but we’re just getting started.
Now it’s your chance to join the ride. Join Verda while it’s still being built — not once it’s finished!
Storage Product Manager
Storage is the backbone of everything Verda runs. Training jobs, inference workloads, and customer data all depend on file systems and object stores that are fast, reliable, and priced right. This role owns that portfolio end to end: local and shared file systems, block storage, and object storage.
You'll work closely with the Storage Team to match technology to what customers actually need, define how we package and price it, and set the target state for where our storage products are going. Getting there means planning migrations off what we run today and executing them alongside our infrastructure and software teams. It's a technical product role in a fast-moving environment, so comfort with ambiguity matters as much as product craft.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
What you'll do
- Own the storage product portfolio: local and shared file systems, block storage, and object storage.
- Identify customer needs across the range of storage workloads we support.
- Choose the right technology for each need, working with the Storage Team to weigh the trade-offs.
- Define tiers and pricing.
- Set the target state for our storage stack, then plan the migrations from where we are today to get there.
- Execute those migrations together with the infrastructure and software teams.
What we're looking for
- 6+ years in product management, with a track record of shaping technical products around both customer needs and real technical limits.
- A genuine technical background with hands-on experience working with storage solutions such as Ceph, WEKA, VAST, or DDN. Surface familiarity won't be enough here.
- Real understanding of how Ceph works internally, how file systems get mounted, and the differences between NFS, CephFS, and Virtiofs.
- Working knowledge of storage media (NVMe and HDD), networking, and servers, at the level of their performance characteristics and limitations.
- Solid grounding in Linux and virtualisation.
- Comfort navigating chaos. Priorities shift, context is incomplete, and you can still move things forward.
- Strong communication skills across engineering, infra, and customers.
