Description & Requirements

Bloomberg is a leading provider of financial benchmarks and custom index services. Bloomberg indices are used globally as the basis for investment products and for benchmarking portfolio performance. Through the Bloomberg Terminal and Bloomberg Media, the global investment community engages with Bloomberg Indices.

What’s the role?

As a Product Manager within the Sustainable Index Product team, you will be responsible for the development and enhancement of Bloomberg’s ESG, Climate, and Sustainable index offerings. You will focus on sustainable methodology design, ESG data integration, and bringing innovative benchmark solutions to market.

This is a hands-on individual contributor role, partnering closely with Governance, Risk, Research, and Commercial teams to deliver high-quality, investable, and scalable sustainable benchmarks.

We’ll Trust You To

  • Lead the research, design, and evolution of climate, ESG, and sustainable index methodologies
  • Translate emerging sustainability themes (net zero alignment, transition strategies, biodiversity, impact, etc.) into practical and investable index frameworks
  • Evaluate ESG and climate datasets (internal and third-party), assessing methodology implications and data risks
  • Draft and maintain methodology documentation and consultation materials
  • Support governance processes, including methodology reviews and index event determinations
  • Partner with Legal, Compliance, and Index Governance to ensure alignment with benchmark standards and regulatory requirements
  • Work with Sales and Marketing to articulate methodology design and sustainability positioning to asset managers and ETF issuers
  • Monitor market trends, regulation, and competitor benchmarks to inform product strategy

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
