Product Manager – Currencycloud Infrastructure
Overview
This Product Manager role sits within Visa Direct’s Currencycloud product, focusing on building the infrastructure that powers how money moves globally. You’ll help businesses send, receive, and manage funds across borders quickly, cheaply, and with full transparency and control. Since money movement is at the heart of how businesses and consumers operate, your work will have real, measurable impact.
You’ll own a product area end to end, collaborating with cross-functional teams to define priorities, guide development, and drive innovative solutions. By shaping a clear vision and roadmap, you’ll ensure every delivery aligns with client needs, business goals, and market trends.
Your role involves uncovering pain points, refining ideas through real-world feedback, and continuously refining solutions. With decision-making authority, you’ll influence beyond your team and lead projects from strategy to execution.
This role reports into a Product Director or Group Product Manager.
Location & Working Arrangements
Primary Work Location: Hybrid (based in the London Paddington office)
- Required in-office attendance: 3 days per week (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays)
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategy & Vision
- Collaborate on the tribe’s strategy, leveraging:
- Deep market, customer, competitor, and technology research
- Develop a product strategy and roadmap aligned with:
- Company strategy
- Tribe-level objectives
- Insights from market, customer, competitor, and fintech trends
- Secure alignment and buy-in from stakeholders and colleagues
- Convert strategy into a clear, prioritised backlog and roadmap for your team

2. Discovery
- Lead client discovery to identify:
- Real-world problems
- Unmet customer needs
- New opportunities
- Work with customers and teams to:
- Generate, refine, and test feature/product ideas
- Deeply analyse payment flows, banking processes, and operational systems
- Maintain collaboration with internal and external teams to develop:
- Consistent technical documentation
- Ensure requirements are detailed enough for development, including:
- Functional non-functional requirements
- Separate signal from noise using:
- Customer insights, data, and stakeholder feedback
- Challenge assumptions to focus on high-impact problems
3. Delivery
- Manage end-to-end product development, from problem definition to delivery
- Prioritise the roadmap based on:
- Customer needs
- Commercial value
- Strategic goals (potentially across 1-2 development teams)
- Work closely with engineering and delivery teams to:
- Foster clarity, efficiency, and speed
- Explicitly articulate why priorities exist for informed decision-making
4. Adoption
- Partner with Product Marketing and GTM teams to:
- Design go-to-market strategies, positioning, and launches
- Drive adoption across multiple regions, customer segments, and use cases
- Measure product performance and impact post-launch using:
- Data and insights
- Iterate to improve, scale, or retire features as needed

A successful Product Manager at this level will deliver:

Requirements
Experience & Expertise
You don’t need every qualification—apply if you meet most of these:
- 3-4+ years of experience as a Product Owner/Product Manager, preferably in:
- Software-first fintech companies
- Demonstrated success in:
- Owning a product/initiative from discovery to launch and iteration
- Proven ability to ship products and demonstrate impact through:
- Customer metrics
- Business growth
- Strong prioritisation and backlog management skills with:
- Decision-making experience in agile frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban)
- Influence across 1-2 product teams
- Experience developing a vision-based product roadmap using:
- Customer discovery
- Market research
- Data-driven insights
- FinTech domain knowledge (ideal but not required):
- Payments, currency conversion (FX), transaction banking, or trading systems
- Experience demonstrating post-launch impact:
- Measuring feature success
- Applying insights to future product planning
