Product Manager
Location
We operate a flexible, hybrid working environment with the candidate required to travel to either our Winchester or London office once or twice a week.

Overview
Manages strategic product initiatives, guiding products, product lines and cross-functional teams as required. Prioritises backlogs, roadmaps and associated initiatives and act as the bridge between customers, developers, and wider stakeholder groups.
The role
- Owns the product roadmap, backlog and prioritisation for a specific product or feature set within the broader product portfolio
- Understands and communicates customer, market and business needs clearly and concisely to relevant teams across the business
- Carries out user and market research to ensure their products remain relevant
- Represents customers, the business and Product Management in project and delivery meetings and ceremonies, as required
- Manages and influences peers and stakeholder through compelling and concise storytelling and communication
- Translates user needs to features, prototypes, user stories and marketing stories - provides clear and concise specs to developers and engineers
- Conducts QA checks to ensure features are built by developers according to specs (accepts or rejects)
- Represents products at user testing sessions
- Responsible for setting success metrics and reviewing measurement of KPIs with Data and Insights and other relevant parties
- Communicates product vision, roadmap and progress to wider stakeholders
- Relentlessly negotiates and communicates changes to priorities to stakeholders
- Manages products throughout the entire lifecycle (design, build and run), and ensures value creation through development
- Makes bold decisions, including sunsetting and/or maintaining products, if and when appropriate

The person
- Proven product management experience, with a proven track record of partnering with engineering teams to build large-scale products and platforms, with experience and an understanding of relevant product and technical frameworks, including standards, product lifecycle, data and insights. B2B experience preferred but not essential
- Demonstrated ability to innovate and deliver products that meet the needs of target markets
- A demonstrable ability to collaborate and influence multiple partners, driving consensus and commitment
- Understanding of Arqiva’s product landscape, target markets and ability to translate that into Arqiva’s vision for the future
- Motivated self-starter with the conviction and confidence to pivot and/or stay on course in the face of adversity
- Willingness to fail and acceptance of critical feedback to improve product and product practices
Skills
- Expertise in customer and market analysis and strategic positioning of products to maximise market share and profitability.
- Strong financial acumen to manage budgets and forecast product performance.
- High proficiency in decision-making and prioritisation across complex and competing needs.
- Communicates clearly, concisely and appropriately to the audience
- Ability to adapt and anticipate based upon changing market and customer needs
- Curiosity: Remains in the problem space when others have jumped to solutions
- Champions a culture of innovation and experimentation within product management, encouraging creative thinking and exploration of new ideas.
- Familiarity with building business cases for the adoption of new technology as well as the launch of new products and services
- Proven ability to gather and analyse user requirements and translate them into user stories and actionable product features
- Excellent understanding of, and ability to operate in, all phases of the product lifecycle
- Excellent understanding of best-practice product management, product and customer experience
