Why you will love this opportunity as Product Marketing Manager at Civica
The Product Marketing Manager, UK is responsible for activating and delivering market-ready value propositions across Civica's UK portfolio. The role turns proposition strategy, customer insight, messaging and commercial priorities into practical go-to-market activity that helps customer-facing teams clearly articulate Civica's value in the market.
Working as part of the Product Marketing Activate & Deliver model, this role partners closely with Product Management, Sales Enablement, Marketing, Customer Success and Sales leadership to ensure propositions are launched, adopted and continuously improved. The role does not directly own Sales enablement, but works with Sales Enablement to ensure teams have the right messaging, playbooks, positioning and context to support effective customer conversations.
The role is focused on launch delivery, proposition activation, CVP playbook maintenance, feedback loops, customer advocacy inputs and measurable commercial outcomes aligned to Civica's focus on Conversion, Velocity and Value.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver proposition and product launch plans. Own the delivery of launch activity for agreed propositions, products and portfolio priorities across the UK market. Ensure launch plans are clearly defined, cross-functional dependencies are understood, and Product, Marketing, Sales Enablement, Sales and Customer Success teams are aligned ahead of market activation.
- Activate value propositions for the UK market. Translate CVPs, messaging frameworks and proposition outputs into practical activation materials that help teams understand the customer problem, value story, target audience, use cases, proof points, competitive context and commercial opportunity.
- Maintain and update CVP playbooks. Own the ongoing maintenance of proposition playbooks, ensuring messaging, customer value, objection handling, use cases, proof points, competitive positioning and supporting materials remain current, accurate and usable by internal teams.
- Work with Sales Enablement to equip customer-facing teams. Partner with Sales Enablement to ensure Sales and Customer Success teams are equipped with clear proposition messaging, customer value narratives, objection handling, talk tracks and supporting context. Product Marketing provides the proposition content and market narrative; Sales Enablement owns the enablement approach, delivery and adoption with Sales teams.
- Support proposition adoption across customer-facing teams. Work with Sales Enablement, Sales, Customer Success and Marketing to support internal briefings, activation sessions and launch communications that improve understanding and adoption of propositions across customer-facing teams.
- Feed customer and market insight into the product lifecycle. Facilitate feedback from customers, Sales, Customer Success, Marketing and Product teams into the product and proposition lifecycle. Use insight to identify where messaging, positioning, proposition packaging or activation materials need to be refined.
- Support user group engagement and customer advocacy inputs. Work with Product, Marketing and Customer Success to identify user group themes, customer proof points, advocacy opportunities and evidence that can strengthen proposition credibility and support customer acquisition, retention and growth.
- Measure activation performance. Track and report on proposition activation performance, including launch readiness, adoption, usage of playbooks, stakeholder feedback, pipeline contribution and other agreed indicators linked to Conversion, Velocity and Value.
- Collaborate across product families and verticals. Work across product families, vertical teams and cross-functional groups to ensure proposition activation is joined up, commercially focused and aligned to Civica's broader portfolio priorities, including simplified propositions, connected solutions and strategic product priorities.
- Support continuous improvement of Product Marketing ways of working. Contribute to improved Product Marketing processes, templates, planning rhythms and governance. Help create consistency in how propositions are activated, measured and iterated across the UK portfolio.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
