Product Marketing Manager
Blue Light Card – Product Marketing Manager (12-month Fixed Term Contract)
About the Role
We're building the Product Marketing function to match the scale of our four-million-strong emergency services, NHS, and armed forces community.
This newly created, 12-month fixed-term contract sits proudly at the intersection of Product, Design, and Marketing. As Product Marketing Manager, you’ll unite what we build with why it matters, transforming member and partner insights into:
- Clear positioning and compelling value propositions.
- Go-to-market strategies that drive real adoption across consumer and commercial audiences.
You’ll report to the PMM Lead and work closely on our highest-priority product initiatives, balancing strategic vision and hands-on execution.
Your work will shape:
- How we discover and validate product opportunities.
- The messaging that brings them to life.
- The execution across paid, owned, and CRM channels in a B2C environment.
Key Responsibilities
Adoption & Growth
- Drive awareness and adoption of Blue Light Card’s products and features, measuring success through:
- Engagement, activation, and retention metrics.
- Member and partner audience data.
Value & Messaging
- Develop and deliver end-to-end value propositions:
- Identify and define target audiences.
- Build messaging hierarchies and distribution plans.
- Create creative assets that resonate.
Research & Insights
- Collaborate with Product and Design teams to coordinate user research (qualitative + quantitative), feeding insights into:
- The product roadmap.
- Validation of marketing hypotheses with rapid iteration.
Campaigns & Experimentation
- Plan and execute test-and-learn campaigns, drawing on:
- A/B testing, UX research.
- Market trends and competitive analysis.
- Optimise strategies to improve commercial impact.
Channel Strategy
- Work with Product and Marketing to:
- Set up and optimise owned, paid, and CRM channels.

Stakeholder Management
- Translate member and partner insights into positioning, prioritisation, and product decisions.
- Manage cross-functional stakeholders and external partners, ensuring clear, actionable communication across:
- Product teams, marketing, and commercial partners.
What You’ll Bring
Core Skills & Experience
- Solid experience in Product Marketing within a digital-first, B2C environment, with hands-on execution across:
- Owned, paid, and CRM channels at both strategic and operational levels.
- A background in financial services, fintech, or regulated industries—especially FinServ or FinTech (highly preferred). Regulated services experience is essential.
- Comprehensive grasp of both inbound and outbound Product Marketing, including:
- Collaborating across multiple stakeholder groups to refine positioning and GTM plans.
- Translating user research into actionable product/marketing decisions (recruitment → synthesis → execution).
- Strong communication skills and ability to tailor messaging for:
- Internal product teams.
- Commercial partners.
- External consumers.
Ideal Traits
- Hands-on, organised approach with:
- Genuine data enthusiasm.
- End-to-end customer journey thinking.
- Cross-functional execution appetite.
- Familiarity with product and digital performance tools (e.g., Amplitude, Google Analytics, Tableau) is a bonus, not essential.
