Product Marketing Manager
Role
As a Product Marketing Manager at Roke, you will be responsible for developing and delivering marketing strategies that effectively communicate the value of Roke’s products to targeted audiences.
You’ll work closely with the Head of Campaigns and Product Marketing and Product Teams, to launch products associated with Campaign objectives. This position requires a blend of strategic thinking, technical understanding, and strong collaboration skills.
You will be responsible for
Go-to-Market Strategy:
- Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for Roke’s diverse product portfolio, ensuring that each product is positioned effectively within its target market.
- Partner with product management, sales and engineering teams to ensure product features align with market demands and customer needs.
- Elicit and consolidate market analysis and customer feedback to inform future product enhancement needs.
Messaging & Positioning:
- Define messaging frameworks and feature capabilities by target audience, and work with the Content team to deliver the collateral required for all activation channels.
- Conduct high-level market analysis to understand industry trends, customer pain points, and the competitive landscape.
- Define and manage marketing content needs and collateral requirements, such as case studies, whitepapers, and presentations to support sales and marketing initiatives.
Collaboration with Product Owners:
- Work closely with Head of Product and Product Owners to gather and understand product requirements, ensuring that market needs and customer feedback are integrated into the product development process.
- Influence product roadmaps by providing insights into market trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics.
- Collaborate with product owners during the product lifecycle to ensure alignment between marketing strategies, customer needs and product features.

Product Launches:
- Plan and execute product launches in collaboration with cross-functional teams, ensuring all departments are aligned and prepared.
- Monitor the success of product launches, gather feedback and data to inform future launches and marketing strategies.
Product Marketing Operations:
- Own day-to-day product marketing support across a portfolio of products and solutions.
- Maintain product pages, brochures, presentations, FAQs and sales assets.
- Support product launches and lifecycle updates.
- Ensure product information remains current and consistent.
Content Development & Quality Assurance:
- Create, review and maintain customer-facing product content.
- Translate technical concepts into clear customer-focused messaging.
- Ensure technical accuracy, consistency and quality across all assets.
- Support campaign activation through high-quality collateral and content.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting:
- Track and analyse key product marketing metrics, providing regular reports to senior leadership.
- Continuously refine marketing strategies based on performance data and market feedback.
Sales Enablement:
- Develop and deliver comprehensive sales tools and training materials, equipping the sales team to effectively communicate product benefits and differentiators.
- Provide ongoing support and updates to the sales team, ensuring they have the latest product information and competitive insights.
Relevant skills / Experience:
Experience:
- Experience in product marketing, ideally within the technology, defence, or security sectors.
- Proven experience in working closely with product owners or product management teams to gather requirements and influence product development.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of technology solutions, particularly in communications, cyber security, AI, or sensor technologies.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear, compelling messaging.
- Analytical skills to interpret market data, customer feedback, and performance metrics.
- Strong project management abilities, with experience managing multiple projects and stakeholders.

Where you’ll work
Romsey (HQ)
- You’ll find our Romsey site located within beautiful Hampshire countryside, close to the picturesque New Forest District and not far from a superb stretch of the south coast. This is no corporate concrete jungle; this is a manor house site, with ample parking, an on-site gym, and a driveway full of daffodils in the spring.
Woking
- You’ll find our Woking site in a modern building on the outskirts of London. Rated excellent for sustainability by BREEAM & Fitwel certified – you’ll feel better for visiting. This site provides key links to our customers in London, is a 5-minute walk from the train station, has secure parking nearby, and dedicated cycle storage.
Clearance
Due to the nature of this position, we require you to be eligible to achieve SC clearance.
