Product Marketing Manager
Product Marketing Manager
Driftrock is hiring a Product Marketing Manager to own the go-to-market assets and sales enablement that help the world's biggest automotive brands choose us and choose us again.
Quick Facts
- Team: Commercial
- Reports to: Matt Baldwin, CEO
- Location: Fully remote, UK or abroad (daily overlap with UK hours recommended)
- Contract: Full-time, permanent
- Salary: £45,000 to £60,000 + share options
- Start date: Straight away
Why This Role Exists
Driftrock has strong positioning, a differentiated platform, and growing proof points, but lacks a dedicated product marketer to turn these into actionable go-to-market (GTM) assets that help the commercial team close deals. With the EV transition, new market expansions, and increasing demand for marketing ROI proof, sales conversations are becoming more complex. This role will own the creation and maintenance of sales decks, one-pagers, battlecards, and product launch materials to ensure sales teams confidently position Driftrock’s value.
This is the first stand-alone product marketing hire at Driftrock. From day one, you’ll drive the GTM asset library, covering decks, competitive combat strategies, objection handling, and launch narratives that influence whether prospects choose Driftrock—and stick with it.
What You’ll Own
- The entire go-to-market asset library, including core sales decks, one-pagers, battlecards, competitive positioning frameworks, objection-handling materials, and product launch resources.
- Responsibility for end-to-end sales enablement, ensuring commercial teams have the assets they need to navigate complex, high-stakes automotive B2B deals.
Your First 90 Days
| Timeline | Objective |
|---|---|
| Day 30 | Audited existing sales assets, embedded with the commercial team, and shipped a revised core sales deck. |
| Day 60 | Developed and implemented full GTM library, including product one-pagers, competitive battlecards, and objection-handling frameworks, ensuring they’re actively used. |
| Day 90 | Managed first product launch from go-to-market to execution; all-encompassing sales enablement toolkit finalised; secured and published at least one high-impact customer case study. |
What You’ll Be Doing
Your role will focus on positioning, messaging, and enabling the sales team to win deals with confidence:
-
Sales Assets & Enablement:
- Develop and maintain core sales materials (decks, one-pagers, pitch narratives, demo “leave-behinds”) that align with Driftrock’s positioning and reflect its differentiation.
- Own competitive battlecards, objection-handling frameworks, and sales playbooks to equip the team with sharper, more persuasive conversations.
- Ensure all GTM content reinforces Driftrock’s narrative in automotive/e-mobility, overcoming objections tied to cost, scalability, and ROI.
-
Product Launch Ownership:
- Lead product positioning, messaging, and launch asset development, teaming with Commercial to ensure sales are aligned and ready to sell before any product ships.
- Drive the launch narratives that define post-product-market entry success.
-
Market Insights & Storytelling:
- Conduct customer and trend research, distilling findings into audience-specific value propositions that cut through noisiest competitors’ noise.
- Adapt at scale: refine narratives to resonate across OEMs, fleet operators, and independent dealerships.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
- Partnerships & Thought Leadership:
- Collaborate with Customer Success to create compelling case studies, formatted for usage across sales decks, events, and digital channels.
- Contribute to Driftrock’s thought leadership work, crafting insights, industry reports, and thought pieces that build authority in automotive and mobility marketing.
What You’ll Bring
Driftrock prioritises measurable impact over rigid experience thresholds:
-
GTM & Sales Enablement Expertise:
- Proven ability to embed as part of a sales team, driving adoption of sales enablement tools like battlecards, testing frameworks, or one-pagers—and recording evident performance uplifts (e.g., shorter sales cycles, improved conversion rates).
- Strong track record in B2B SaaS or automotive/ adjacency, where technical differentiation must be clearly and compellingly delivered in conversations.
-
Simplistic Communication & Positioning Skills:
- Exceptional writing ability, capable of distilling complex technical features into clear customer-centric narratives, from pitch deck builds to long-form positioning documents.
- Understands how to translate feature roadmaps into value transfer (e.g., pointing to “mobile surfing friction” as a reason to go further with Driftrock).
-
** grit & Autonomy:**
- Comfortable directing observations back into GTM outputs—familiar with how much work teams put toward assets by people who speak the language of commercial realities.
- Resilience to prioritise deep work in product selection, messaging buys, and asset design before seeking constant sign-off.
Plus points for:
- Automotive/e-mobility domain-specific knowledge or adjacent B2B tech.
- Exposure to competitive positioning strategies (e.g., April Dunford’s Obviously Awesome).
- Scale-up experience in 20–50 person companies, where conditions are leaner but where outcomes move faster.
- Familiarity with AdTech platforms or marketplaces where widgets, conversions, and garages feel like the right focus.
- Since the role is first of its kind, those who’ve moved metrics (“A-B Dickies” in SaaS speak)—total lift on pipelines, qualified logo movement, or ramp up in enablement—have strong voice.
You don’t have to check every box—show us how you’ve conditioned sales or marketing assets to convert.
