About the Role
We’re looking for a dynamic, ambitious, and curious Product Marketing Manager to support the Director of Product Marketing in establishing the Product Marketing function at Genius Sports. We’re seeking a candidate who not only offers deep expertise but also brings energy and passion to communicating not just the "how", but the "why" of our product or service—a true storyteller—with experience in B2B environments.
Genius is transitioning from a technology and services company to a product-led organization, scaling its product portfolio to run like a well-oiled machine. As a Product Marketing Manager, you’ll focus on championing Genius Sports, amplifying our product story to reach leagues, teams, gaming companies, and brands globally—a high-profile role with executive support and the opportunity to make a significant impact.

Responsibilities

Positioning Define and refine our product positioning and messaging to differentiate in the market, supporting high-impact marketing campaigns.

Sales Enablement Clearly communicate product value propositions and develop sales tools to support and optimize the commercial team’s selling process.

Go-To-Market (GTM) Collaborate with the Director of Product Marketing, product, and marketing teams to drive new product and feature launches, including:
- Defining value propositions and messaging.
- Orchestrates collateral and asset creation.
- Lead cross-functional GTM execution, track KPIs, and deliver reporting.

Product Launch Tracking Work closely with the product team to capture and report on product releases and disseminate updates to commercial and operational stakeholders.

Content Development Craft compelling messaging for marketing and content teams to drive customer engagement and bolster our market profile.

Inbound Feedback Integration Work with teams like commercial, product, and operations to establish feedback loops—product, sales, and customer insights—to inform marketing messaging and product enhancements.

Audience & Market Understanding Act as the user insights and competitive intelligence hub within marketing, conducting regular analyses to:
- Build deep intuition for user needs.
- Stay updated on the competitive landscape.

Product Development Input Provide critical feedback to product development, including:
- Proactive dialogue on value propositions for new products.
- Defining the POV for features and creating alignment to drive market success.
- Conducting foundational research early in development to shape positioning, naming, and GTM strategy.

Product Expertise & Influence Foster a deep understanding of our products, including:
- How they compare to competitors.
- Key areas of opportunity—and ensure the product team aligns with your guidance before moving forward.

Naming & Positioning Strategy Develop naming strategies and positioning frameworks based on research; drive cross-team alignment to ensure marketing campaigns reflect the intended narrative.

- Case Studies & Evidence Building Collaborate with commercial and marketing teams to develop compelling case studies and build an evidence repository.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years in B2B Product Marketing or a related marketing role—preferably in fast-moving tech, adtech, martech, SaaS, or sports business environments.
- Ability to simplify complex ideas into clear, digestible, and impactful messaging.
- Demonstrated marketing results (kampaign wins, demand-gen success) and collateral development expertise.
- Strong communicator—public speaking, client-facing interactions, and product evangelism relevant.
- Highly organized with a precision for detail.
- Commercially minded, understanding how product-driven initiatives fuel success.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience launching SaaS products, adtech solutions, or sports-related offerings.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, digital marketing, or a relevant business field.
