Overview

Product Management Consultant

Quest is looking for an experienced Product Management professional to join the Identity Security Portfolio. This role will own a mix of product and managed service offerings that strengthen the security posture of customer identity environments, including Active Directory, Entra ID, and the broader set of human and non-human identities operating inside the Enterprise.

You will be reporting to the Product Management Director. This is a remote role.

Your AI strategy is only as strong as the data behind it. Quest Software builds the foundation for enterprise AI with solutions in data governance, cybersecurity, and platform modernization. More than 45,000 companies — including 90% of the Fortune 500 — trust Quest to solve their most critical challenges. From securing identities and modernizing platforms to preparing data for AI, we help enterprises unlock their full potential.

Responsibilities

What you will do:

  • Own product strategy and roadmap for a portfolio that spans identity security technology and managed security services. Set direction across new capabilities, ecosystem integrations, and net-new service offerings.
  • Lead the buildout of FedRAMP-authorized product capabilities and a new managed security service line for federal and public sector customers. Scope, compliance pathway, partner selection, and go-to-market all sit with this role.
  • Manage strategic technology partnerships across the identity security ecosystem. Drive integration roadmaps, joint customer pursuits, and the operational mechanics of multi-vendor delivery.
  • Carry portfolio coverage across identity threat detection and identity recovery product lines, working with adjacent PMs to maintain release continuity and customer-facing consistency.
  • Translate customer evidence, competitive movement, and analyst input into prioritized investments. Defend trade-offs with engineering, sales, and executive stakeholders.
  • Operate inside Agile development cycles with engineering, design, and QA. Write user stories, prioritize backlog, own release readiness.
  • Partner with marketing, sales, professional services, and customer success on positioning, enablement, pricing, and renewal motions.
  • Run the full product lifecycle from concept through end of life, including sunset and migration decisions where the portfolio overlaps.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Qualifications

What we would like to see:

  • 5+ years of product management experience, with meaningful time on identity security, endpoint security, or adjacent infrastructure security categories.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and Entra ID. Familiarity with non-human, service account, machine, and agentic identity risk is preferred.
  • Direct experience managing or productizing managed security services, MDR, IR retainers, or similar service offerings. Not just software.
  • Familiarity with FedRAMP, FISMA, StateRAMP, or related federal compliance regimes. Direct experience taking a product or service through FedRAMP authorization is a strong plus.
  • Experience working with or managing strategic technology partnerships, including joint roadmaps, OEM, or reseller relationships.
  • Comfortable with security frameworks and standards including NIST, CIS, MITRE ATT&CK, and ISO 27001.
  • Track record of launching and operating products in cyber security, including pricing, packaging, and analyst engagement.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information security, or a related field. Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or vendor-specific identity credentials are a plus.
