Lead Digital Product Owner (Security Cleared)

Reading HQ - 4 days a week onsite and One day remote

£104 p/h Inside IR35

This is an opportunity to define and lead the future of Digital Employee Experience (within one of the UK's most secure and complex organisations, you’ll own the strategic vision for how technology, digital services, automation and support come together to enable a productive, secure and engaging employee experience across the enterprise.

What you'll be doing

  • Lead the assessment of the current Digital Employee Experience landscape, identify opportunities for transformation and define a future-state strategy that improves how employees work every day.
  • Define the enterprise Digital Employee Experience strategy and long-term vision.
  • Assess the end-to-end employee journey across Joiner, Mover, Leaver (JML), collaboration, learning and daily productivity.
  • Evaluate digital workplace platforms including Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, ServiceNow, Power Platform, SAP and Identity & Access Management.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce friction, simplify services and improve productivity.
  • Develop governance, operating models and ownership structures for DEX across the organisation.
  • Create a prioritised transformation roadmap balancing quick wins with long-term strategic investment.
  • Build executive support through compelling insights, business cases and measurable outcomes.
  • Champion user-centred design and data-driven decision making across Digital Workplace services.

  • We're looking for someone who has already led enterprise-scale Digital Employee Experience or Digital Workplace transformation and is comfortable operating with senior stakeholders in highly regulated or secure environments.
  • Defining and delivering enterprise Digital Employee Experience or Digital Workplace strategies.
  • Leading cross-functional transformation across Digital, Security, HR, Service Management and business functions.
  • Driving adoption and optimisation of Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, Power Platform, ServiceNow and modern workplace technologies.
  • Designing governance, operating models and service ownership for enterprise digital services.
  • Applying user-centred design, service design and employee journey mapping to improve workplace experiences.
  • Building strategic roadmaps supported by measurable outcomes and business value.
  • Influencing executive stakeholders and securing investment for digital transformation initiatives.
  • Balancing innovation with security, compliance and operational resilience.
  • Experience working within Defence, Government, Aerospace, National Security or other highly regulated environments would be highly advantageous.
