About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Product Owner to join our dynamic Payments team at Token.io. As Product Owner, you will play a key role in shaping, developing, delivering, and documenting our core Pay by Bank products and capabilities. This is a high-impact role with direct influence over products that sit at the heart of Token.io’s Account-to-Account (A2A) payments offering.
The role combines traditional product ownership responsibilities with technical writing and developer experience oversight, ensuring our products are intuitive, scalable, and supported by high-quality documentation that enables customers, partners, and developers to integrate with confidence. Close collaboration with Engineering will be essential, with the Product Owner working as a key partner to translate product vision into clear technical requirements, support effective delivery, and ensure alignment on priorities throughout the development lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Own and prioritise the product backlog for Payments, ensuring solutions are reliable, scalable, and secure.
- Work closely with engineering teams to design and deliver high-quality API-driven solutions.
- Own sprint planning, refinement, and retrospectives, driving efficient and predictable delivery.
- Collaborate with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders to gather requirements and shape product direction.
- Use tools such as Postman to explore, test, and validate APIs as part of product development.
- Contribute to improving the overall developer experience across our payments platform.
- Develop a strong understanding of how our SaaS platform integrates with and supports payment capabilities.
- Create and maintain clear, high-quality developer documentation, including API references and integration guides.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
