Product Owner Job Description Summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a customer-focused Product Owner to help shape and deliver a next-generation commercial execution platform that enables customers to make smarter, data-driven decisions and achieve better business outcomes. The role is suited to someone who combines commercial understanding with structured product thinking, and who can work confidently across business, product, analysis, technology, and delivery teams.
The Team

As a Product Owner, you will be part of a cross-functional team responsible for shaping and delivering innovative analytics and digital solutions used by leading Consumer Health and FMCG organisations.
About the Role
As Product Owner, you will act as the bridge between business stakeholders and delivery teams, ensuring customer and business needs are translated into clear priorities, practical requirements, and valuable product outcomes. You will own the backlog, guide prioritisation, support delivery, and help ensure the platform continues to meet customer, operational, and commercial needs.
Candidate Profile
- Brings practical business experience in Consumer Health, FMCG, retail, commercial operations, or a closely related environment
- Enjoys working across diverse teams and can build trust with both business and technical stakeholders
- Communicates clearly, asks good questions, and can translate complex needs into focused priorities
- Is analytical, curious, and comfortable using data to understand problems and support decisions
- Is enthusiastic about the evolution of AI and how it can be applied responsibly to solve business challenges
Key Responsibilities
Product Ownership & Prioritisation
- Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring priorities are aligned to customer needs, business value, and delivery capacity
- Define the product direction for features and enhancements, working with stakeholders to understand problems, opportunities, and expected outcomes
- Make informed prioritisation decisions using business context, data, feedback, and delivery considerations

Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as the primary point of contact between business stakeholders and technical teams
- Facilitate workshops, requirement gathering sessions, and feedback loops to build shared understanding
- Manage stakeholder expectations and maintain alignment throughout the delivery lifecycle
Requirements & Delivery
- Work closely with Business Analysts to ensure user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications are clear, complete, and aligned to business needs
- Collaborate with development teams to deliver high-quality solutions in an Agile environment
- Contribute to sprint planning, release planning, delivery governance, and issue resolution
Data, Insight & Business Value
- Support the development of reporting, analytics, and data-driven product capabilities
- Ensure delivered solutions address real business needs and improve decision-making, efficiency, and performance
- Use data, insight, and feedback to continuously refine priorities and improve product outcomes
Essential Skills & Experience
- Experience in a Product Owner, Business Analyst, Product Manager, or similar business-facing delivery role
- Strong understanding of commercial, operational, or customer-facing business environments
- Ability to work with Business Analysts and technical teams to shape clear requirements, priorities, and delivery outcomes
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills across business and technology audiences
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data and insight to support decisions
- Collaborative, proactive, and comfortable working with ambiguity
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Experience working in Agile or Scrum delivery environments
- Experience with reporting, analytics, data products, or digital transformation initiatives
- Understanding of AI-enabled tools or automation opportunities within business processes
- Experience working with distributed or offshore development teams
