Product Owner – AI & Intelligence
Reporting To: SVP Product
The Opportunity: Shape the Future of Intelligent Commerce
Epos Now is at an exciting inflection point. We are embedding deep intelligence directly into our platform, empowering merchants to take control with richer insights, smarter support, and automated tools that directly drive their business growth.
As the Product Owner – AI & Intelligence, you will be the driving force behind our AI services. Sitting at the vital intersection of Product Strategy, Data, and Engineering, you’ll turn ambiguous, cutting-edge opportunities ("Can AI do this?") into shipped, high-impact products that merchants trust every single day.
What You’ll Be Doing (The Mission)
- Drive the AI Vision & Roadmap: Partner with the SVP and executive team to define, prioritize, and sequence AI initiatives, ranging from copilot-style assistants to background automation. You'll balance merchant value, technical feasibility, and cost-to-serve.
- Ship Probabilistic Products: Translate fuzzy problems into sharp PRDs tailored for AI system dynamics, defining accuracy thresholds, hallucination tolerances, latency budgets, and fallback behaviors.
- Pioneer Discovery & Validation: Run fast validation loops with design and research. Build prototypes to earn executive buy-in, but know when to kill ideas if a deterministic solution is cheaper or more reliable.
- Champion the Merchant Voice: Meet with customers regularly, establish feedback forums, and build an exclusive customer "Intelligence Group" to iterate directly with our most vocal merchants.
- Own Quality & Responsible AI: Build evaluation frameworks, golden datasets, and regression testing alongside data and engineering teams. Ensure full adherence to privacy, data protection, and transparency standards (GDPR/UK GDPR).
- Be the AI Thought Leader: Monitor market trends, competitor moves, and cost-efficiency techniques across the POS and fintech landscape, translating insights into actionable business cases.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
