About the Role
As a Product Owner – Data Platforms at NFU Mutual, you will lead the development and delivery of the Shared Data Platform roadmap. You will work across the organisation to identify, prioritise and deliver new capabilities aligned to business priorities, ensuring the platform supports strategic data ambitions.
You will provide subject matter expertise across data platform usage, guiding how data is leveraged and protected within change activity. Working closely with stakeholders, you will influence decisions, manage dependencies and ensure alignment to the wider data vision.
You will oversee the ongoing performance of the platform, embedding effective processes to manage backlogs, prioritise enhancements and support operational delivery. You will also contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, services and ways of working.
This is a key role within a collaborative data community, where you will build strong relationships, provide consultancy and drive best practice adoption across the business.
This role is based in our Tiddington Head Office, just outside Stratford-Upon-Avon. However, we understand how important a positive work-life balance is, so to help you give your best, we offer great facilities when you want to be in an office environment and support to work up to 80% of your hours from home.
About You
You are a strategic and collaborative Product Owner who builds strong relationships and influences at all levels. You communicate clearly, think critically and bring a strong sense of accountability. You work confidently across complex environments, resolving challenges and driving progress while maintaining focus on business value. You lead through collaboration, engage stakeholders effectively and bring commercial awareness to decision making.

To join NFU Mutual, you’ll also bring:
- Product ownership experience within complex, cross-functional environments
- Data platform strategy and roadmap management capability
- Experience across data architecture, engineering, modelling and management
- Agile delivery with strong prioritisation and backlog management experience
- Knowledge of Azure and Snowflake data technologies
Qualifications
- Educated to degree level or equivalent in a technical or numerical subject or significant equivalent experience – Essential
- Holds an appropriate industry certification such as Microsoft Azure or Certified Data Management Professional – Essential
