Job Title: Product Owner (Finance Applications)
Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 per annum + Benefits!
Location: Hybrid working, home & bi-weekly trips to BCA Hook, Hampshire (please ensure you can get to us!)
Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 40 hours
Job Status: Permanent

Main Purpose of The Role:
- Providing technical support to demand or change processes; transform business requirements into a backlog of software requirements; working with internal & external consultants, to design and deliver necessary customisations or configuration changes within Finance systems, such as Business Central online and Access Dimensions.
- Leading the delivery of product changes; The Product Owner works closely with their team, to define the product backlog of features to be built to deliver maximum benefit to Constellation and its customers by championing change.
- Liaising with Enterprise Application third party providers and help to optimize utilization of the offered service portfolio and drive customizations.
Role Accountabilities:
- Deliver Enterprise Application Product changes for Business Central. This can include eliciting and documenting business requirements, determining and justifying cost estimates and compiling business cases, designing, building and implementing changes.
- Maintain good relationships with business stakeholders to identify/capture change/development needs and provide input to prioritising the delivery of these changes.
- Maintain good relationships with external technology partners, including developers to deliver system changes, aligning with business priorities and within acceptable timelines.
- Identify where there are gaps in existing systems and what work would be needed to deliver changes. When presented with solutions, ensure that due diligence of the proposal is completed and that appropriate challenges are made.
- Elicit, understand, and challenge business processes and, in conjunction with business stakeholders and Solution Architects, propose and agree modifications where appropriate to allow a more efficient/more performant/more secure/more resilient and feasible solution to be put in place.
- Build Product backlogs to summarise objectives, outline business case, scope, completion/acceptance criteria and other components of change items. Manage and maintain product backlogs from inception to delivery ensuring successful build, test and go-live whilst following established change processes within Constellation Group.
- Ensure requirements are clearly defined to assist with team understanding and have correct acceptance criteria.

Knowledge and Experience:
- Strong technical Finance product knowledge and domain expertise in Business Central Online
- High level understanding of transactional finance processes in a sales-oriented business.
- Experience of, or certification in, accounting processes
- Clear understanding of Agile software development methodologies.
- Knowledge of software development processes and procedures and iterative delivery.
- Understanding of integrations, APIs and Web Services.
- Successful experience of technology projects with focus on Cloud / SAAS solutions
- Stakeholder support - You will develop and maintain close relationships with key individuals throughout IT and the Business,
- Building and inspiring teams – You will be skilled in understanding requirements and pain points from potentially disparate groups of people and will be able to unite and understand the impact and options from an enterprise applications point of view to provide guidance and suggest solutions. Influencing skills and emotional intelligence will be critical in this regard. You will also be an excellent team player when acting as a contributor.
- You will also have coaching skills for your team as act as a sounding board for peers.
- Be facilitative – must be able to lead and demonstrate value-add principles to the teams.
- Attitude of transparency – have the desire to bring disclosure and transparency to the business about delivery and grow business trust.
