Product Owner – MAGIC AI
About MAGIC AI
MAGIC AI is an elegant in-home fitness mirror that combines AI, computer vision, professional instructor-led workouts, live and on-demand sessions, and high-energy music to deliver personalised training sessions.
Recognised as one of Fast Company’s* World’s Most Innovative Companies of 2026*, we’ve been featured on Good Morning Britain and stocked in Selfridges. Our growing team excels across AI, tech, personal training, design, and marketing, and we’re scaling rapidly.
About the Role
We’re looking for a ** driving Product Owner** to ensure our high-performing, small team delivers high-quality software on time. Reporting to the CPO and collaborating closely with the CTO, you’ll act as the connective tissue that transforms vision into working software—tightening specs, ensuring Jira sprint readiness, and shepherding work through delivery.
This role is hands-on, execution-focused, not strategy-focused. While your colleagues define priorities (“what” and “why”), your strength lies in rigour, follow-through, and ensuring smooth software delivery. If you find quiet satisfaction in well-scoped sprints that transpose into value, this will be a rewarding fit.
Key Responsibilities
Delivery & Execution
- Sharpening product specs: refine rough requirements into clear, unambiguous, and testable acceptance criteria before they enter Jira
- Jira sprint ownership: structure sprints so:
- Tickets are well-formed, correctly estimated, and properly prioritised
- No vague tickets or last-minute surprises cross the finish line
- Complete work momentum: proactively track progress, escalate blockers early, and resolve loose ends to avoid tasks lingering at 90%
- Distribution cadence: facilitate planning sessions, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives—keeping them focused and actionable
- User acceptance testing (UAT) & delivery hands-on:
- Organise UAT processes and track defence lists.
- When QA capacity is stretched, execute test cases yourself to accelerate fixes.
- Drive sign-off decisions with clarity.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
