IAM Product Owner
Contract | Remote with Monthly On-Site Travel | Initial Contract Until End of Year
We're supporting a leading financial services organisation on a major transformation of its Identity & Access Management (IAM) capability and are looking for an experienced IAM Product Owner to join the programme.
This is an opportunity to play a key role in delivering next-generation IAM solutions across a large-scale enterprise, working with senior stakeholders, architects and engineering teams to define product direction, prioritise delivery, and ensure solutions meet both business and regulatory requirements.

The Role
As the IAM Product Owner, you'll be responsible for owning and managing the product backlog, ensuring work is prioritised to maximise business value while supporting the delivery of modern Identity and Access Management capabilities.
You'll work closely with architecture, engineering, security and business teams to translate strategic objectives into clear, deliverable requirements across a complex enterprise environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Own, maintain and prioritise the IAM product backlog
- Define Epics, Features and User Stories
- Capture, analyse and refine business and technical requirements
- Produce clear acceptance criteria for backlog items
- Work closely with Solution Architects and Technical Leads to align technical delivery with business priorities
- Support sprint planning, backlog refinement and release planning
- Balance business priorities with technical debt and operational requirements
- Manage dependencies across multiple Agile delivery teams
- Engage with business stakeholders, technology teams and third-party suppliers
- Support demonstrations and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Ensure regulatory, audit and compliance requirements are embedded within delivery
- Monitor delivery progress and manage scope throughout the product lifecycle
- Drive measurable business outcomes through effective product ownership

Required Experience
We're looking for Product Owners who can demonstrate experience across most of the following:
- Product Ownership within Agile delivery environments
- Product backlog management and prioritisation
- Requirements gathering and business analysis
- Writing Epics, Features and User Stories
- Stakeholder management across business and technology teams
- Working within large, complex enterprise organisations
- Delivery within regulated Financial Services environments
- Strong communication, facilitation and influencing skills
- Risk, governance and compliance awareness
