This is an exceptional opportunity to lead significant transformation within a world-leading law firm, focusing on the Intapp platform and its wider ecosystem. If you are a visionary leader passionate about driving innovation and delivering impact in a complex, global environment, we encourage you to apply. The Opportunity: As a Product Owner, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of our Legal & Risk systems. This senior role involves defining and delivering an ambitious roadmap, including a major cloud transformation programme. You will operate at a strategic level, collaborating directly with senior business stakeholders to define outcomes and lead delivery across internal teams and external partners. This position calls for a commercially minded individual who can bring structure, clarity, and momentum to a high-profile domain, ensuring our technology solutions align with our global business priorities. Key Responsibilities: Lead the strategy and roadmap for our Legal & Risk systems, encompassing Intake, Conflicts, Terms, and Ethical Walls. Drive the migration of the Intapp platform from on-premise to cloud. Translate complex business needs into clear product direction and prioritised platform initiatives. Identify and implement process improvements across the legal and risk lifecycle. Own the end-to-end delivery of the roadmap and transformation programmes, managing scope, prioritisation, and execution. Act as the primary accountability point for Legal & Risk technology, fostering strong relationships with business and IT stakeholders. Manage key vendor and partner relationships, ensuring value and quality. What We Are Looking For: We welcome applications from individuals with a proven track record in senior product, platform, or domain leadership roles within complex enterprise environments. Extensive experience defining and delivering product roadmaps and large-scale transformation programmes, particularly cloud migration initiatives. A strategic and commercial mindset, with the ability to effectively influence and manage diverse stakeholders at all levels. Demonstrated experience managing third-party vendors and delivery partners. Familiarity with Intapp or similar legal, risk, or workflow platforms is highly desirable. Strong technical credibility, enabling effective engagement with architecture and engineering teams. An understanding of legal, risk, compliance, or corporate financial processes. A confident, credible, and pragmatic approach, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability. Structured thinking, capable of bringing clarity and direction to ambiguous and high-pressure environments. What Freshfields Offers: At Freshfields, we believe in a people-first approach, fostering a supportive and inclusive culture where everyone can thrive. We are committed to: Professional Growth: We provide significant opportunities for continuous learning, professional development, and career advancement within a leading global firm. Impactful Work: You will be at the forefront of technological innovation, driving critical projects that directly contribute to our global success and operational excellence. Belonging: We cultivate an environment where diverse perspectives are valued, and every individual feels respected and empowered to contribute their unique talents. Collaborative Culture: Join a dynamic team that values collaboration, innovation, and a shared commitment to excellence, working alongside some of the brightest minds in the legal and technology sectors. Inclusion Freshfields is an equal opportunities employer and all applications received by the firm will be considered by the firm on the basis of their merit alone and we welcome applications from all suitably qualified individuals regardless of background. All offers of employment will be conditional on the candidate having/securing the right to work in the UK and providing the firm with evidence of that right (as required by the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006) prior to employment commencing. Freshfields is a Ban the Box employer. We ask applicants to disclose criminal convictions only when a conditional job offer is made. A conviction does not automatically lead to withdrawal of the offer: we make decisions on a case by case basis and take a number of factors into account (eg the role you are applying for and the circumstances of the offence). You would have the opportunity to discuss the matter with us before we make a decision. Freshfields is a global law firm with a long-standing track record of successfully supporting the world’s leading national and multinational corporations, financial institutions, and governments on ground-breaking and business critical mandates. At Freshfields we seek to create a better future for our clients, our people and the communities in which we work. Our global teams bring together individuals with different experiences, skills and strengths in a culture where we support all to belong, engage and excel.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
