Description
The Product Owner is responsible for ensuring Convey365’s conveyancing software products deliver real value for customers, reflect practical conveyancing workflows, and meet commercial and regulatory expectations.
This role exists to provide clear ownership of product decisions, development focus, quality, and control; balancing the needs of customers, the business, and the continued development of our conveyancing products.
Core Purpose Own what the product does, why it does it, and the order in which it evolves. Act as the single point of accountability for product decisions and priorities. Bridge the gap between conveyancing expertise and software development in a structured, sustainable way.
Key Responsibilities
Product Ownership & Direction Understand the product vision for Convey365’s conveyancing software platforms. Help decide what should be built, what should not be built, and what matters most. Ensure product decisions align with customer needs, business goals, and regulatory realities. Customer, Legal & Regulatory Alignment Ensure software reflects real‑world conveyancing processes and pressures. Embed legal, compliance, and data protection considerations early in product decisions. Represent the voice of customers and end users in day‑to‑day product discussions. Requirements & Prioritisation Translate conveyancing business and domain needs into clear, structured requirements for development teams. Maintain and prioritise the product backlog. Manage trade‑offs between scope, priority, risk, and delivery effort. Delivery Support Work closely with development teams throughout delivery. Support release planning and ensure features are ready for live customer use. Review delivered work to confirm it meets intended outcomes. Author release articles and training materials such as user guides and training videos. Stakeholder Communication Act as the primary interface between business stakeholders, conveyancing experts, and software teams. Clearly communicate priorities, decisions, and changes. Provide continuity of product knowledge as customers and features scale. Success in This Role Looks Like Clear, timely product decisions with minimal ambiguity. Reduced rework and fewer late‑stage issues. Software that aligns closely with conveyancing realities and customer expectations. Smooth onboarding and support of live customers.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

The Individual
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be someone who is comfortable operating at the intersection of software delivery, conveyancing practice, and commercial reality.
They will bring: Direct experience working with conveyancing systems, property technology, or regulated legal software. A strong understanding of how conveyancing workflows operate in practice, not just in theory. Proven experience working closely with software development teams and making informed product decisions. They will be: Confident making prioritisation and trade‑off decisions where customer needs, compliance, and delivery constraints intersect. Clear, pragmatic, and decisive, particularly when requirements are ambiguous or competing. Comfortable acting as the single point of ownership for product decisions. They will also demonstrate: Strong communication skills and the ability to translate complex legal or operational requirements into clear, actionable outcomes. Credibility with both technical teams and non‑technical stakeholders. A practical, delivery‑focused mindset, with an emphasis on solving real customer problems rather than adding unnecessary complexity. Most importantly, the ideal candidate will be experienced enough to operate independently from day one, providing immediate structure, clarity, and confidence as Convey365 moves into live customers and continued platform growth.
