Product Owner - Retail

About the Role
easyJet is transforming its In-Flight Retail (IFR) capability into a product-led model to:
- Maximise ancillary revenue
- Enhance the onboard customer experience
- Empower crew with intuitive technology
As Technical Product Owner, you’ll own the long-term vision, strategy, and performance of IFR technology platforms, including:
- Onboard retail systems
- Crew applications
- Payment services
- Stock and supply chain integrations
- Reporting tools and associated APIs
Location: Luton (Hybrid Working) This is a permanent, full-time opportunity.
Your Responsibilities
You’ll define and deliver on the IFR product vision by:

Setting and aligning vision
- Define and maintain the IFR product vision with ancillary revenue and customer experience goals
- Balance commercial ambition with technical sustainability

Ownership & strategy
- Lead and evolve the product roadmap, ensuring value-driven outcomes and measurable impact
- Use data, insights, and stakeholder feedback to shape direction

Performance management
- Accountable for core IFR product metrics (revenue per passenger, conversion rates, payment success, usability, system uptime)
- Prioritise initiatives based on business value, risk, and customer impact

Process & stakeholder management
- Lead quarterly and sprint-level outcome planning
- Continuously evaluate product effectiveness and drive improvement
- Maintain a clearly prioritised backlog, ensuring stories align with measurable goals

Technical leadership
- Provide clarity on business problems and solutions to the squad
- Oversee IFR system architecture, integrations, devices, and payment platforms
- Collaborate with Architecture teams on technical debt, scalability, and resilience

Security, compliance & enablement
- Embed compliance and governance standards in product evolution
- Work with third-party suppliers and internal systems integration

Cross-functional collaboration
- Serve as the primary technical link between Commercial, Cabin Services, and Technology
- Build and foster trust-based relationships across business functions
- Champion empowered squad decision-making with strong product guardrails
- Advocate for Agile product principles and continuous improvement

Product & Agile experience
- Hands-on experience in a product-led Agile environment
- Ownership of product vision, roadmap, and backlog development

Commercial & analytical skillset
- Proven ability to define product outcomes and measurable success metrics

Technical depth
- Working knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
- Experience with APIs, system integrations, relational databases
- Understand third-party vendors and integrated platforms

Stakeholder & practical experience
- Stakeholder engagement and influence skills
- Experience in airline, travel, retail, or payments, especially with digital/onboard retail
- Knowledge of POS, mobile device management, and payment technologies
- Experience managing products across multiple markets/operational environments
- Low-cost airline business model expertise

Technical role background
- Prior relevant experience as Developer, Technical BA, Systems Analyst, or similar
