Role/Team Overview

Global Streaming Platform

Global Streaming Platform team develop and supports market-leading video streaming services, underpinned by state-of-the-art engineering principles. We do this at huge scale: for over 50 million customers globally, spanning Peacock, NOW, WOW and SkyShowtime. No matter the device, the time or the place, we make sure that our diverse audiences can easily find and enjoy whatever they want to watch, choosing from the world’s best entertainment, news and sport.

What You’ll Do

As the Product Owner, you’ll have a key role working between the business and global technology teams. You’ll be responsible for defining business requirements, scoping product enhancements and driving changes to all centrally supported markets.

Required

You will be supporting the work on roadmaps that align with our business objectives and team KPIs, and will be required to:

  • Inform the strategic direction of Service Technology based on clear commercial rationale and robust analysis or insights with a focus on your product area.
  • Take ownership for requirements definition and delivery of product enhancements at a central level.
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders and support teams, such as user experience specialists, to optimise existing capabilities as well as creating new ones.
  • Take ownership of measurement and reporting of key KPIs relating to the performance of your products.
  • Provide support for strategic roadmap projects, working alongside other product owners within the service and business operations.
  • Help define excellent requirements for the CRM Scrum Team, Digital and Operations stakeholders.
  • Ensure that new and existing features are coherent and fit-for-purpose.
  • Lead development of critical new initiatives around automation, artificial intelligence and continuous process Improvement.

Essential Criteria

We’re looking for someone who is passionate, has a great eye for spotting the improvements we could make for our customers and with a solid understanding of what makes successful operations tick.

  • Extensive experience as a technology product owner is required, as well as experience working with Agile methodologies.
  • Experience working with Salesforce is a must.
  • You’ll have excellent networking and communication skills, the ability to manage several different projects and stakeholders simultaneously, all the while ensuring everything is prioritised according to business needs.
  • You should be able to demonstrate your ability to gather and define requirements through interviews, workshops and manage senior stakeholders across the business vertical.
  • You should have experience of delivering recommendations to improve processes and working practises, balancing cost and benefit when defining requirements and evaluating possible solutions.

Desirable Skills And Experience

  • A second language and/or experience in the translation industry is desirable,
  • Experience working with (or within) a contact centre and/or an Operations department would be beneficial, as well as any previous work with a CRM system or AWS Connect.
  • Previous experience of working in a multi-national and multi-lingual organisation would be desirable.
  • As a Product Analyst may report to this position, line management experience is desirable in order to manage workloads, set daily, weekly and monthly targets, and maintain performance.

How You’ll Work

We've adopted a hybrid working approach to give more flexibility on where and how we work. The hybrid working expectations for this role are 2 days in the office per week.

Your office base

Osterley

Our Osterley Campus is a 10-minute walk from Syon Lane train station. Or you can hop on one of our free shuttle buses that run to and from Osterley, Gunnersbury, Ealing Broadway and South Ealing tube stations. There are also plenty of bike shelters and showers.
