Job Description: Product Owner
We are looking for a Product Owner to join our Recurring Revenue & Subscription team on a maternity cover contract until Dec 2027, based from our Watford office, starting in September. Acting as the link between business stakeholders, development teams and test team, you'll translate business needs into clear requirements and delivery-ready backlog items.
This role focuses on backlog management, requirements gathering, stakeholder engagement, and delivery support. Ideal for an experienced Product Owner or Senior Business Analyst, you'll work closely with technical teams to ensure solutions meet business objectives and are delivered efficiently.
What You Will Do:

Requirements Gathering & Product Definition
- Gather and define business requirements, translating them into clear user stories, workflows, and acceptance criteria.

Backlog Management & Prioritisation
- Maintain a prioritised, delivery-ready backlog with clear requirements, dependencies, and business value.
- Identify gaps and risks to support effective development planning.

Delivery & Development Collaboration
- Work closely with development teams to clarify requirements, support delivery, and remove blockers.
- Ensure solutions align with business objectives and user needs.

Stakeholder Management
- Partner with business stakeholders to gather feedback, validate requirements, and communicate progress.
- Provide analysis and recommendations to support decision-making.

Quality & Continuous Improvement
- Support testing and validation to ensure solutions meet requirements.
- Use feedback and data insights to drive continuous improvement and product enhancements.

What We Ask For:
- Experience as a Product Owner, Digital Product Manager, Business Analyst, or similar role within a digital or software development environment.
- Experience working with Agile methodologies, including user story creation, backlog management, and prioritisation.
- Proficiency in software development platforms such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
- Proficiency in AI prompt optimization to streamline product workflows, accelerate documentation, or augment daily research.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex business needs into clear, actionable requirements.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across business and technical teams.
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and proactive, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Ability to work independently while remaining aligned to strategic priorities.
- Experience or knowledge of subscription, SaaS, recurring revenue, usage-based products, workflow automation, payment platforms (e.g. Stripe), or secure access systems would be advantageous.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
