Management Product Owner – Senior, Team Avid

About the Role

At Avid, we empower innovative storytellers and foster an agile, globally collaborative environment. We are looking for a Senior Management Product Owner to drive strategy, collaboration, and delivery excellence across complex or multi-squad product areas.

Key Focus Areas

  • Agile Leadership & Delivery: Steer the team’s product roadmap, prioritize backlog items, and ensure sprint goals align with strategic objectives.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, quality assurance (QA), and design teams to ensure cohesive, high-impact delivery.
  • Agile Maturity & Growth: Coach junior Product Owners, mentor teammates, and contribute to fostering a culture of continuous improvement and agile leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Backlog Excellence: Define, prioritize, and refine high-complexity backlogs for multiple product areas.
  • Metric-Driven Outcomes: Drive sprint goals with measurable objectives, ensuring high-quality delivery of stakeholder-aligned vision.
  • Stakeholder Alignment: Bridge communication gaps between business, development, and design teams to advocate for successful delivery.
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor delivery metrics, sprint velocity, and predictability to optimize workflow efficiency.
  • Agile Mentorship: Coach and mentor Product Owners, promoting best practices in Request Management (RM) standards across teams.

Qualifications & Requirements

Experience & Knowledge

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Product Owner or similar role in agile-driven organizations.
  • Proficiency in agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, hybrid models) and their application across complex delivery lifecycle.
  • Expertise in extracting and leveraging product metrics and KPIs to drive improvement and decision-making.
  • Ability to deliver high-impact releases effectively and sustainably through cross-disciplinary collaboration.

Soft Skills

  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication under pressure, with a track record of aligning diverse teams.
  • Strong strategic thinking—able to balance business goals with innovative, user-centric solutions.
  • Fortitude for mentoring, coaching, and knowledge-sharing with both senior and junior professionals.
  • Commitment to fostering a highly collaborative environment with high psychological safety.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Advanced or technical degrees preferred in computer science, engineering, business, or related fields.

Total Reward (Compensation Range)

  • USA-based candidates: $117,582 – $176,374 per year (reflects full range as of posting).
  • Canada-based candidates: $98,222 – $147,334 per year (reflects full target range as of posting).

Notes: Transparency is our policy, though offers typically fall within the lower-to-middle portion of the posted range. Salaries may be augmented by factors such as location, background, experience, relevant certifications, job level, and business demands.
