Job Description

Primary Function of the Position

As a member of the UK & Ireland Marketing team, the Product Portfolio & Digital Marketing Manager is responsible for:

  • Leading the development, implementation, and execution of marketing strategies and tactics for the Product and Digital portfolios.
    • The portfolio includes:
      • da Vinci systems
      • Advanced Technologies
      • Instruments and Accessories
      • Digital Solutions (e.g., Intuitive Hub, My Intuitive, SIMNOW)
  • Developing value messaging, engaging Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), and scaling the success of existing and newly launched products to accelerate adoption across the UK and Ireland.
  • Collaborating with UKI and EU Marketing, Sales, and ecosystem functions to drive utilization in targeted procedures for both portfolios.
  • Applying excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to fuel collaboration and adaptability across business functions to execute on commercial strategies.

  • Manage product portfolios: Leverage product management skillsets to oversee:
    • da Vinci Systems
    • Advanced Technologies
    • Instruments & Accessories
    • Digital portfolios
  • Develop go-to-market strategies: Collaborate with Clinical Marketing, Sales leadership, and Training teams to align launch strategies and tactics aimed at increasing utilization.
  • Integrate digital portfolio: Drive awareness and adoption of the entire Intuitive Ecosystem in alignment with business goals.
  • Engage key customers: Create and develop reference centers to accelerate technology adoption and utilization of:
    • da Vinci systems
    • Advanced Technologies
    • Digital solutions

Messaging and Collateral Development

  • Create clinical and economic reference stories: Develop Quantitative Trait Invariance (QTIs) and marketing collateral to articulate value propositions for Intuitive’s technologies.
  • Collaborate with KOLs: Partner with European Product Marketing to develop localized value propositions and messaging.

Data-Driven Decisions and Scaling

  • Develop analytical tools: Work with Sales Operations to create scalable monitoring systems for portfolios, competition, and opportunities, leveraging data to inform marketing and sales strategies.
  • Identify and scale best practices: Leverage Key Opinion Leaders and Field Sales teams to improve regional adoption variations.
  • Develop Product Champions: Foster expertise and advocacy for existing and newly launched products across specialties.

Executive Engagement and Market Development

  • Conference and event participation: Collaborate with EMEA and Regional Marketing & Sales at:
    • Conferences and trade shows
    • Executive Education Events
    • Market Development Events
    • Key Customer events
  • Deliver impactful product demonstrations (test-drives), technology presentations, and ensure key product messaging is integrated into all Intuitive-sponsored events.

Sales Support and Growth Initiatives

  • Grow Energy and Stapling utilization across UK and Ireland by implementing new sales tools and collateral.

Qualifications

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

Educational Background

  • Bachelor’s degree in a life science or business discipline.
  • Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) or Advanced Diploma in Marketing preferred.

Professional Experience

  • 8+ years’ experience in a medical device or therapeutic company.
  • 4+ years of Clinical/Product marketing experience in a similar context.
  • Proven ability to:
    • Position and launch products efficiently
    • Message products/procedures effectively
    • Work creatively, prioritize, and manage multiple competing initiatives

  • Strong commercial acumen to drive product adoption.
  • Self-starter with problem-solving abilities for high-growth and fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication and presentation skills in English.
  • Strong interpersonal skills across multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage projects, budgets, organization, and multiple deadlines.
  • Keen knowledge of MS Office Suite.

Travel and Working Conditions

  • Ability to travel 20-30% domestically.
  • International travel may be required.
  • Office days: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday at the headquarters in Winnersh.

  • Final offers are contingent upon approvals, timing of which may be flexible, subject to unrecconsolidated hiring needs.
