The Role
We are looking for a collaborative, commercially-minded Product Principal to join our Strategy, Product & Marketing team within Active Fixed Income Product. This role plays a key part in shaping and delivering a client-focused product offering across a global platform.
Sacred responsibilities include:
- Driving the development and ongoing management of active fixed income and liquidity products across diverse fund structures, collaborating with investment, distribution, and operational teams.
- Supporting a high-impact product strategy that promotes business growth while ensuring robust governance and positive client outcomes.
Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Development
- Lead the design and delivery of active fixed income and liquidity product initiatives (across strategies like ESG integration, distressed, leveraged finance, and securitised products).
- Manage the entire product lifecycle—from launches to enhancements, mergers, and closures, ensuring timely execution and alignment with business goals.
- Own-end-to-end project delivery, coordinating multidisciplinary stakeholders (investment teams, channels, regulatory, operations) to meet deadlines and milestones.

Governance, Compliance & Risk
- Ensure compliance with governance frameworks, regulatory requirements (including UCITS, EMIR, AIFMD, GDPR, etc.), and internal product policies.
- Conduct periodic reviews of product viability—identifying commercial opportunities, risk mitigation strategies, or discontinuation signals.
Market & Technical Expertise
- Provide technical insight on the interplay between regulation, product structure, positioning, and distribution channels.
- Monitor market trends, competitor innovations, and regulatory shifts to inform long-term product strategy and innovation.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
- Build strong relationships with internal teams (sales, product managers, accountants, legal), service partners (advisors, prime brokers, platforms), and external clients (investors, distributors).
- Present to senior leadership, advocates, and external audiences—presenting value propositions compellingly.
Requirements
Essential
- Proven track record in asset management product strategy, development, and lifecycle management.
- Strong expertise in active fixed income strategies (e.g., credit, rates, structured finance), with eminent understanding of liquidity solutions.
- Familiarity with fund structures (e.g., UCITS, non-UCITS, ETFs, separately managed accounts) and ability to oversee them across multiple jurisdictions.
- Experience delivering product launches, managing multi-jurisdictional funds, and optimising product performance.
- Exceptional stakeholder management—capability to influence at executive levels across diverse functions (legal, compliance, distribution).
- Deep understanding of product governance, regulation, and risk processes, with a pro-active approach to compliance.
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex, high-visibility projects, deliver on rigorous timelines, and drive measurable outcomes.
- Universities degree or equivalent, with a professional qualification (IMC, CFA, CAIA)—supportive but not mandatory.
