The Role
The Product Recovery Lead is responsible for overseeing the product recovery processes to support the business. A key part of this role is ensuring returned stock is processed efficiently and as much value as possible is achieved through its recovery or exit from the business.
Responsibilities
- Recovery Processes
- Ensures returned goods are processed in the most profitable manner for the business
- Maintains a strong knowledge of the Loaf products to support the recovery process
- Ensure weekly returns are processed and graded to optimise revenue from each returned unit
- Repack – back to A stock
- Rework / Repack – Back to A or B Stock
- Recovery is tracked and reported on monthly basis
- 3PL damages are identified and claims agreed on a weekly basis
- Work closely with the Product Care team to identify manufacturing faults and organise the booking and backloading to suppliers
- Identify products that need to be exited to jobbers/auction - whilst protecting the integrity and value of the Loaf brand
- Utilise charities to avoid environmental impact of disposal
- Identify products that can be used as loan products and oversee the administration of this process with CX
- Gold Seal Samples / Photography Samples
- Support the Product Team during NPD, sample reviews and Product Training days by organising samples and requesting, moving, assembling & PAT testing products - where required
- Request and arrange photography samples and log on tracker
- Maintain Photoshoot stock movements control and complete any Photoshoot Admin
- Support the business in the timely dispatch, put-away or disposal of samples - where required

- Collaboration

Team Development/Admin
- Motivates team by clearly sharing objectives and leading by example
- Supports team members in being confident decision makers who escalate decisions appropriately
- Act as the senior point of contact for any product recovery queries

- Assist in maintaining business systems (as relevant to product recovery) and processes to improve efficiency
- Identify trends in issues and provide feedback for process improvement
- Manages team calendar to ensure appropriate cover is maintained
We're looking for
Essential
- Previous experience working in a warehouse
- Previous experience of working with furniture & homewares is desirable
- Experience of managing a full returns process, including inspection, refurbishment, resale, and disposal decisions
- Experience of working closely with a QC team and awareness of quality control processes to reduce defects and customer complaints
- Physically fit and able to lift and move heavy packages and objects
- Ability to follow processes and procedures accurately
- Good English, Maths and IT skills
- Experience of Excel and other specialist stock tracking software
- A comprehensive understanding of safety procedures
- Experience of working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
- Experienced in managing and motivating teams
- Attention to detail
- The ability to work independently and show initiative
- Confidence and common sense
- A great team player with the ability to promote and help build a positive work environment
