Job Description
We are looking for a Software Engineer to own the product engineering layer of Krotos products.
You will work alongside the Machine Learning part of the team, who own model development, experimentation, and ML infrastructure. Your focus will be the surrounding product engineering: Python services, React-based applications, orchestration, processing pipelines, integrations, reliability, and delivery.
This role suits an engineer who enjoys turning promising technology into stable, maintainable software that can ship and scale.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain Python applications and processing pipelines for Video to Sound and related products
- Develop React-based web interfaces for product and internal workflows
- Connect model outputs to audio generation, rendering, assembly, and user workflows
- Productionise ML research
- Develop and maintain APIs, services, integrations, and automation
- Improve system reliability, observability, testing, and maintainability
- Strengthen CI/CD, release processes, developer tooling, and deployment confidence
- Contribute to architecture, code reviews, technical documentation, and engineering standards
- Identify technical debt, bottlenecks, and reliability risks, and propose pragmatic solutions
- Work with product, audio, engineering, and ML colleagues within Agile delivery cycles

Requirements
Essential:
- Strong professional experience with Python
- Professional experience building web applications with React
- Experience building and maintaining production software, APIs, platforms, pipelines, or automation tools
- Experience shipping commercially used software
- Strong understanding of software architecture, debugging, testing, and code quality
- Proficiency with Git and collaborative development workflows
- Ability to work autonomously and make sound technical trade-offs
- Clear written and verbal English communication skills
Desirable:
- Experience with audio or video processing workflows
- Experience with CI/CD, cloud services, deployment, or release engineering
- Familiarity with desktop integrations, plugin ecosystems, or media production tools
- Working knowledge of C++
- Experience working with machine learning teams to productionise research
- Familiarity with Agile or Scrum practices
- Interest in audio, sound design, or creative technology
