At its foundation, SimCorp is guided by our values — caring, customer success-driven, collaborative, curious, and courageous. Our people-centered organization focuses on skills development, relationship building, and client success. We take pride in cultivating an environment where all team members can grow, feel heard, valued, and empowered. If you like what we’re saying, keep reading! WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT FOR US The Product Solutions Architect for Portfolio Management, Trading and Compliance is a senior role responsible for defining what good looks like across SimCorp's front office domain and translating deep domain expertise into repeatable, scalable SimCorp One client implementations. Winning in Portfolio Management and Trading is an existential priority for SimCorp. This domain defines our competitive differentiation against platforms like Aladdin, Bloomberg, and Charles River, and the clients we serve depend on these capabilities for mission critical investment decisions. The Product Solutions Group owns the standard configurations, reference architectures, and best practice workflows that define how clients implement SimCorp One as one integrated, out of the box solution. As a Domain Architect, you understand the complete front office lifecycle end to end and are the authoritative voice on how SimCorp One front office solutions should be adopted across client archetypes. This role sits within Product Management, reporting to the Head of Product Solutions. Role Scope You cover SimCorp's front office domain, spanning portfolio construction and rebalancing, multi asset order management, smart order routing and trade execution, pre trade and post trade investment compliance, and trade allocation and booking. You understand how these workflows connect end to end for portfolio managers, traders, compliance officers, and CIOs, and you define the implementation patterns that translate that expertise into repeatable client outcomes. WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT FOR US Client & Market Leadership: You engage with portfolio managers, traders, compliance officers, and CIOs as the definitive subject matter expert on front office workflows. You advise clients on how to implement SimCorp's portfolio management, trading, and compliance capabilities to maximize straight through processing, reduce manual intervention, and achieve best execution. You represent product leadership in front office client engagements and serve as the escalation point when implementations require domain specific guidance. Market Intelligence & Product Influence: You bring competitive intelligence on front office platforms back into product decisions, identifying capability gaps and ensuring implementation learnings directly inform roadmap priorities for the Portfolio Management and Trading vertical. You identify cross client patterns and convert them into reusable standard configurations or productization candidates. Domain Standards & Enablement: You own the standard configurations and reference architectures for front office workflows, spanning portfolio construction and rebalancing, multi asset order management, smart order routing and execution, pre trade and post trade compliance, and trade allocation and booking. You train implementation teams on standard configurations, enabling consistent delivery without requiring deep front office expertise on every engagement. WHAT WE VALUE Domain Expertise & Market Knowledge: 15+ years of experience in solution architecture, product management, solution engineering, or senior client facing roles focused on front office investment technology. Deep domain knowledge of portfolio management workflows including portfolio construction, rebalancing, sleeve level management, and total portfolio view. Strong understanding of order management and trade execution across asset classes, including OMS/EMS integration patterns, FIX protocol, and best execution frameworks. Knowledge of investment compliance workflows and regulatory requirements (MiFID II, Dodd Frank). Trusted Advisor Credibility: Demonstrated ability to engage with portfolio managers, traders, compliance officers, and CIOs with credibility and authority. Consultative approach with experience holding the line on recommended approaches while maintaining strong client relationships. Fluency in both strategy (front office operating models, target state workflows) and execution (how SimCorp enables them). Strategic Communication & Influence: Experience translating between institutional client requirements and product strategy within the front office domain. Ability to synthesize market feedback, competitive signals, and implementation learnings into actionable product recommendations. BENEFITS Competitive salary, bonus scheme, and pension are essential for any work agreement. However, in SimCorp, we believe we can offer more. Therefore, in addition to the traditional benefit scheme, we provide an excellent work & life balance: flexible work hours, a hybrid workplace model. On top of that, we have IP sprints where you have 3 weeks per quarter you can spend on mastering your skills as well as contributing to the company development. There is never just only one route - we practice an individual approach to professional development to support the direction you want to take. I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
