Product Support Account Manager – Electric Power Standby

Finning is the world’s largest Caterpillar dealer. We deliver exceptional customer experiences and innovative solutions. We are seeking a commercially driven, customer-focused Product Support Account Manager to join our Electric Power Standby sector.
About the Role
The Product Support Account Manager maximises revenue and profitability by managing and developing a portfolio of new and existing customer accounts in parts and service sales.
This role requires driving growth, strengthening relationships, and identifying aftermarket opportunities. You’ll act as a trusted advisor, promoting tailored support solutions while collaborating internally to deliver outstanding service and hit ambitious targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Account Management & Growth:
- Manage and develop assigned customer accounts to boost parts and service revenue while maintaining profitability targets
- Identify and convert new business opportunities, including lapsed accounts and campaign-based leads
- Build and expand Customer Value Agreements (CVAs) with key and high-potential customers

Sales & Relationship Management:
- Maintain accurate opportunity pipelines in CRM tools (e.g., FST) and ensure data integrity
- Deliver structured call planning with regular engagement across weekly, monthly, and quarterly cycles
- Prepare and submit monthly activity reports and sales forecasts on time

Customer Support & Advocacy:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, fostering trust with decision-makers
- Proactively resolve complaints and disputes for timely, satisfactory outcomes

Collaboration & Market Insight:
- Work cross-functionally to explore sales opportunities in product support and new equipment
- Mentor internal sales teams and share best practices
- Monitor competitor activity and market trends, sharing insights to inform strategy
Requirements
- Experience & Sales Expertise:
- 2–3 years’ minimum in sales within product support, engineering, or B2B markets
- Proven ability to exceed revenue and margin targets
- Hands-on experience in account management and long-term commercial relationships
