Product Lead

Full-Time | Permanent

London (Hybrid)

£130,000 per annum + bonus


We are looking for an experienced and strategic Product Lead to lead a team of Product Managers responsible for delivering innovative technology solutions that support business growth, operational excellence and an exceptional user experience.

Working at the intersection of business strategy, technology and customer needs, you will define the vision, priorities and roadmap across a portfolio of products while developing a high-performing product function. You will work closely with senior stakeholders across the business and technology teams to ensure product investments deliver measurable commercial value and align with wider organisational objectives.

This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of a growing technology function, championing product best practice while mentoring and developing a talented team. The successful candidate will be equally comfortable setting strategic direction and supporting delivery teams to achieve outstanding outcomes.

  • Proven leadership experience managing and developing Product Managers or Product Owners.
  • Excellent strategic thinking with the ability to translate business objectives into clear product strategies and roadmaps.
  • Outstanding stakeholder management skills with experience influencing senior leaders and building strong cross-functional relationships.
  • Strong commercial awareness with a focus on delivering measurable business outcomes.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Deep understanding of Agile delivery methodologies including Scrum, Kanban, and Lean.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make informed, data-driven decisions.
  • Experience working alongside engineering teams to deliver complex software solutions.
  • Ability to balance strategic priorities with operational delivery in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for coaching others and creating a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Knowledge & Experience

  • Significant experience leading Product Managers, Product Owners, or multidisciplinary product teams within technology-led organisations.
  • Demonstrable experience defining product strategy and delivering successful digital products at scale.
  • Experience managing multiple products or product portfolios within a complex business environment.
  • Strong understanding of Agile software development and modern product management principles.
  • Experience within insurance, financial services, or fintech would be highly advantageous.
  • Knowledge of underwriting, claims, operations, or broker platforms would be beneficial but is not essential.
  • Experience influencing executive stakeholders and driving strategic business decisions.
  • Proven ability to deliver technology solutions that improve customer experience, operational efficiency, and commercial performance.
  • Experience embedding product-led ways of working and driving organisational change.
