Job Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Product Test Engineer to join our highly skilled Product Development Team. We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic engineer with experience in product testing and evaluation. Ideally, you will hold an HNC (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately record, analyse and report test results.
  • Utilise and program data logging equipment and computer-based testing systems.
  • Support product development activities through practical testing and evaluation.
  • Collaborate with Design Engineers to identify and resolve product issues.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing methods and processes.
  • Support the Approvals Manager in maintaining compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
  • Ensure all test equipment calibration records are maintained and kept up to date.
  • Adhere to company health, safety and environmental procedures at all times.

About You

  • HNC (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Strong practical, hands-on engineering skills.
  • Ability to work independently and use initiative to complete assigned tasks.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Competent in the use of computers, data acquisition systems and testing software.
  • Understanding of Legionella awareness, water safety principles and applicable water regulations.
  • Strong communication and report-writing skills.
  • A proactive approach with excellent attention to detail.

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Experience of testing electromechanical or plumbing products.
  • Familiarity with regulatory approvals processes and certification testing.
  • Experience using data acquisition and laboratory testing equipment.

Working Hours

The working week will be 35.25 hours based on 9.00 am - 5 pm from Monday to Thursday and 9.00 am - 4 pm on Fridays.
