Production & Materials Assistant

Join the Brooker Piling Solutions Team

Brooker Piling Solutions is looking for a proactive and organised Production & Materials Assistant to join our growing Production Team. This is a varied, hands-on role that combines materials management, stock control, production administration, and quality assurance. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and take pride in accuracy and organisation, we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

As our Production & Materials Assistant, you will be responsible for:

  • Loading and unloading deliveries safely and efficiently.
  • Receiving, inspecting, and storing incoming goods in designated locations.
  • Rejecting or reporting incorrect, damaged, or non-conforming materials.
  • Recording goods received on our stock system and allocating materials to production jobs.
  • Transporting materials throughout the workshop as required.
  • Picking, packing, and preparing orders for dispatch.
  • Completing quality check documentation for outgoing goods.
  • Filing and maintaining Quality Check Sheets within ISO records.
  • Carrying out regular cycle counts and stock checks.
  • Assisting with bi-annual full stock takes.
  • Processing stock adjustments where necessary.
  • Building production jobs within our specialist software.
  • Creating, checking, and distributing job travellers and profile sheets.
  • Maintaining a clean, tidy, and well-organised stores area.
  • Ensuring entrances, exits, and walkways remain free from obstructions and slip hazards.
  • Following all company Health & Safety procedures and contributing to a safe working environment.

About You

We're looking for someone who:

  • Is organised, reliable, and has excellent attention to detail.
  • Can work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Is comfortable using computer systems and willing to learn specialist software.
  • Has experience in stores, production, manufacturing, warehouse, or materials control (preferred but not essential).
  • Has a positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
  • Holds a forklift licence (advantageous but not essential).

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary from £30,000, depending on experience.
  • Full-time, permanent position.
  • Monday to Friday working hours – 7:30am to 5:00pm.
