Production and Supply Chain Coordinator

Production and Supply Chain Coordinator (Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire)

Location: Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire Salary: £32k–£34k + dependent package + generous benefits

Our client specialises in precision engineered components and solutions, spanning global industry sectors. They are seeking an experienced Production and Supply Chain Coordinator to strengthen their procurement and logistics team, ensuring smooth production schedules, efficient resource management, and exemplary customer service through robust relationship management.


Key Responsibilities

  • Production Scheduling

    • Create, update, and review master production schedules, aligning demand with resource availability and operational capacity.
  • Inventory Management

    • Monitor and optimise inventory levels to reduce waste while ensuring component availability for production.
  • Capacity Planning

    • Analyse production capacity, identify bottlenecks, and develop strategies to optimise resource allocation and efficiency.

  • Supplier Management

    • Collaborate with suppliers on delivery schedules, apply tactical procurement principles, and mitigate supply disruptions to meet production requirements cost-effectively.

    • Partner with internal teams to execute business planning, resolve production-related issues, and enhance operational delivery.
  • Process Improvement

    • Implement continuous improvement strategies for materials management, quality standards, and production planning processes.
    • Identify opportunities to automate workflows and adopt best practices.
  • Performance Monitoring

    • Track key performance indicators (KPIs), identify room for improvement, and implement corrective actions.
  • Customer Focus

    • Drive customer satisfaction by managing relationships to surpass expectations and expand the base proactively.

  • Data Analysis
    • Utilise analytics and reporting to inform production planning and forecasting.
    • Maintain Javelin software to ensure data integrity, automation, and alignment between planning functions and business forecasts.

Requirements

  • Core Skills & Experience:

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to drive process optimisation.
    • Proven expertise in MRP/ERP systems, with deep knowledge of Javelin for materials and planning workflows.
    • Hands-on experience in engineering production environments, including end-to-end supply chain and manufacturing process flows.
  • Essential Qualifications:

    • Relevant qualifications in engineering or supply chain management.
  • Location:

    • Must commute to Tewkesbury (preferred).
