Under W!ZARD Radio Media is also W!ZARD Live, a live events promoter/producer specialising in comedy, theatre and live podcasts. W!ZARD Live has sold over 20,000 tickets to live shows in the past 2 years, ranging from podcasts to comedy tours, West End productions and more.

Role Description

We are looking for a motivated and passionate Production Assistant to support our operations across podcasts and live productions, working closely with our creators and company management.

This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate with a passion for creators and pop culture and a desire to develop their skills and play an integral role in the expansion of W!ZARD’s podcast roster, live slate and overall audience growth.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting the team and our creators with the production of W!ZARD Studios’ slate of podcasts
  • Working in our recording studio to support the day-to-day running of podcast recordings, including handling bookings, liaising with clients and setting up/monitoring recording sessions
  • Developing recording skills to be able to take ownership of the recording process for specific podcasts
  • Filing, labelling and uploading content onto our Content Management System and ensuring our CMS remains organised
  • Assisting creators and the wider team with episode planning and brainstorming
  • Developing effective social media strategies to promote our podcasts and live events across branded social media pages
  • Working with our Social Media Manager to deliver social media content and ensure that social media strategies are being executed effectively
  • To contribute innovative, forward-thinking ideas to social, digital and marketing campaigns
  • Assisting the team and our creators with the delivery of digital content, marketing assets and advertising campaigns
  • Collaborating with the team on our own-brand social media strategy – organising social media content for our owned handles – including graphics, video and written posts, to support podcasts, promotions and company initiatives
  • Monitor and manage the podcast network's social media presence, ensuring brand consistency and quality across all channels
  • Using podcast technology – including analytics dashboards and infrastructure systems – on a frequent basis and keep track of podcast performance
  • Working with the team to provide guidance to creators including content and social media feedback
  • Taking day to day creator enquiries as a member of our creator-facing team
  • Assisting at W!ZARD Live productions, including coordinating guest lists, suppliers and working collaboratively at key events

  • Be a native consumer of lifestyle and entertainment content (audio and video) across podcasting, music and streaming
  • Have basic production experience across audio and video, and be willing and dedicated to learn new skills as required
  • Have basic video editing skills (particularly social media editing); an understanding of digital video and image editing and design software is desirable
  • Have a strong knowledge and passion for social media and the built-in features on social media apps
  • Have a finger on the pulse knowledge of the latest trends across social media and digital media
  • Have an interest in data analysis with a desire to learn how to translate data into meaningful reports
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and a creative flair
  • Have a strong ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously, while maintaining a high level of organisation
  • Have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment
  • Be comfortable working with music artists, actors, influencers and content creators
  • Be able to stay focused whilst working in multiple environments across offices, studios and working from home

Role Structure

  • Full time (40 hours per week)
  • Flexible working (3-4 days per week in London office, 1-2 days per week at home)
  • Permanent contract (6-month probationary period)
  • 30 paid days of annual leave
