Job Description
As a Production Controller, you will join our Stevenage team to support our activities within the aerospace and defence manufacturing sector.
You will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and controlling activities across the production line to ensure products are delivered on schedule and within budget. Working closely with procurement, manufacturing, and logistics teams, you will play a key role in maintaining production flow and supporting operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor production activities to meet project schedules and cost objectives
- Manage the release of requisitions based on MRP outputs
- Coordinate with procurement teams to expedite, amend, or cancel orders as required
- Manage the end-to-end kitting process, including order scheduling and works order release
- Coordinate flight store activities and ensure timely delivery through the clean room
- Monitor production progress and proactively address material or scheduling issues
- Ensure adherence to established processes and deadlines to support business and project requirements

Qualifications
Required Skills:
- Experience in production control, material planning, or manufacturing operations
- Strong understanding of MRP systems and production scheduling principles
- Ability to coordinate activities across multiple functions, including procurement and manufacturing
- Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail
- Ability to prioritise workloads and manage competing deadlines
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Required Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent military experience.
- Experience working within a production, manufacturing, or logistics environment
- Knowledge of production planning and inventory management processes
Desirable Skills:
- Experience within aerospace, defence, or other highly regulated industries
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems such as SAP
- Knowledge of clean room, kitting, or stores management processes
- Continuous improvement or lean manufacturing experience
