Duties & Responsibilities

  • Working cross-functionally to assess current processes and identifying projects to improve productivity and product quality
  • Assess compliance and adherence to safety and quality standards working with relevant stakeholders to resolve any issues
  • Lead C.I projects, ensuring to maintain a positive approach so all team members feel valued during the process
  • Support manufacturing teams with coaching and technical expertise
  • Lead NPI activities related to the introduction of new products and processes into manufacturing
  • Prepare & update process documentation and operating instructions (SOP’s)
  • Develop TPM processes
  • Lead problem-solving activities
  • Build positive relationships with team members, always promoting business objectives
  • Liaise with both PCBA suppliers and internal supply chain WRT PCBA testing equipment (including occasional supplier visits)
  • Monitor test failures, diagnose and drive countermeasures
  • Update test specs, test limits and test software
  • Working with Supply Chain, Technical & Quality Teams support the transition to new suppliers, the evaluation of sample boards & final sign-off
  • Maintain and update testing equipment and fixtures
  • Produce requirements for test equipment suppliers
  • Report writing
  • Continuous improvement of testing & production processes
  • Overlay with the Quality department
  • Support periodic equipment calibration and checks

Skills & Experience

  • All-round manufacturing engineering background with a strong electronics bias
  • Experience managing change
  • Ability to lead structured problem-solving activities
  • Knowledge and experience of working with PCBA’s
  • Experience of writing and updating LabVIEW and Test-Stand software would be ideal
  • Experience with WATS or other test data analysis tools would be beneficial
  • Able to interpret & analyze data and produce clear, concise reports
  • Some knowledge of CI tools (Lean, six sigma or similar)
  • Experience facilitating groups
  • An excellent communicator who can translate complex technical concepts to all levels and to non-technical audiences
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to interact and influence at all levels
  • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and plan your time across a range of tasks effectively.
  • Able to work under time constraints and to deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Good IT skills
  • Self-motivated
  • Time focused
