Description

Ryanair Engineering are currently recruiting for a Production Engineer to join the Heavy / Base Maintenance operation of Europe’s largest airline group.

This is an excellent time to join as we look to grow to over 800 aircraft and 300m guests per year within in the next 8 years.

With the option to be based at any one of the 6 key heavy maintenance sites, the Production Engineer is responsible for supporting aircraft maintenance operations by ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, internal procedures, and safety standards. The role requires strong technical knowledge, effective use of maintenance data systems, and active participation in safety and engineering processes.

Duties include but not limited to:

  • Ensure compliance with EASA / UK CAA Part 145 regulations
  • Apply and support the company Safety Management System (SMS)
  • Locate, interpret and apply maintenance documentation including:
    • AMM
    • IPC
    • SRM
    • Drawings
    • Engineering orders
    • Service bulletins
    • Airworthiness directives
  • Ensure proper control, completion, and accuracy of maintenance documentation including:
    • Non-routine cards
    • Job Cards
    • Process sheets
    • Customer documentation such as RA/FRS/MAY forms
  • Liaise with Planning Department to oversee appropriate control and handover of complex tasks across multiple shifts
  • Perform technical reviews of maintenance tasks/instructions and raise technical queries or occurrence reports via internal systems where necessary.
  • Identify and incorporate independent inspection and release to service procedures within drafted maintenance task instructions
  • Work in accordance with company manuals and procedures, including:
    • Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE)
    • Technical Standards Manual (TSM)
    • Safety Management Manual (SMM)
  • Navigate and utilize engineering systems including:
    • Boeing fleet technical documentation systems
    • Digital technical document libraries
    • Technical Services Query dashboards
  • Promote and apply human factors principles throughout all duties
  • Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge of aircraft types within scope of approval.

  • Relevant Part 66 License holder
  • Experience in aircraft maintenance or technical support environment
  • Familiarity with MyBoeingFleet
  • Knowledge and experience of using AMOS
  • Strong understanding of aircraft maintenance documentation and systems
  • Knowledge of aviation regulatory requirements (EASA/UK CAA Part 145 & Part CAMO)
  • Ability to interpret technical data and engineering instructions
  • Attention to detail and high standards of documentation accuracy
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong safety mindset and awareness of human factors
