Job Purpose and Impact
As the Production Excellence Senior Supervisor, you will lead the development of production excellence processes and management systems, driving operational performance and value optimization across manufacturing plants.
This role involves mentoring a team to execute key operational processes, ensuring alignment with set performance metrics while identifying and implementing solutions to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
Key Accountabilities
Operational Leadership & Problem Solving
- Guide and oversee plant operations by analyzing failures and lost production, then providing data-driven recommendations and implementing system improvements.
- Identify and address gaps in standard work, processes, and reliability to enhance productivity and consistency.
Technological & Process Innovation
- Coordinate the deployment of technology solutions that balance safety, food safety, quality, capacity, reliability, and cost constraints.
- Lead the optimization of production excellence initiatives, including proactive maintenance, reliability programs, and continuous improvement (CI) activities—either across less complex sites or tailored to single high-complexity departments.

Stakeholder Alignment & Governance
- Ensure cross-functional alignment with local and departmental stakeholders, including operations, environmental, and supply chain teams.
- Measure and monitor organizational readiness, implementing necessary process improvements and adjustments to align with performance targets.
Performance Measurement & Execution
- Oversee key performance measurement processes to track progress, identify variances, and implement corrective actions promptly.
People Leadership & Development
- Lead a team of direct reports, coaching and making strategic decisions on talent management, including hiring, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions.
- Foster a culture of operational excellence, encouraging continuous learning and adaptive problem-solving among staff.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., industrial engineering, supply chain management, food science, operations, or equivalent experience).
- Relevant work experience with a strong understanding of plant operations and process optimization.

Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to translate highly technical information effectively across all organizational levels.
- Proven supervisory experience, ideally in a processing or manufacturing environment.
- Expertise in technical gap analysis and solution-driven problem resolution.
- Project management experience, particularly in early phases (e.g., PPM, concept development, and business case formulation), with hands-off transition to delivery teams.
- Proven background in Continuous Improvement / Operational Excellence, leveraging methodologies such as:
- Lean Six Sigma
- Total Productive Maintenance (TPM)
- Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
- Experience creating complex tests, data analyses, and performance benchmarks.
