Production Finance Lead – Interim | Bugle
Lead production reporting and decision support at our Bugle site, translating key operational data into tangible actions to drive efficiency and performance.
What you will be doing
Working full-time on a 9-month fixed-term contract, you will report to the Head of Business Controlling and will be the core business partner to the Bugle Site Leadership Team across our leg deboning, curing and smoking operations.
- Performance Management: Drive the production performance agenda by monitoring financial and operational metrics against targets, implementing corrective actions and setting standards for cost control, conversion cost, labour productivity, yield losses and waste reduction.
- Reporting & Insights: Prepare and deliver weekly and monthly reporting routines, turning complex manufacturing and financial data into clear, actionable insights that influence leadership decisions and operational behaviour.
- Financial Planning: Own financial planning, budgeting and forecasting for production activities while assessing, communicating and supporting the mitigation of financial risks across the site.
- Business Partnering: Collaborate closely with colleagues across production, planning, procurement and technical functions to support business case development, handle scenario simulations (raw materials, volume and capacity) and track savings initiatives.

What you will bring
We are looking for an analytical, disciplined finance professional who can maintain rigour and routine within a dynamic manufacturing environment. You must possess the communication skills to navigate challenging conversations while holding teams accountable for costs and internal controls.
- Experience: Part-qualified CIMA/ACCA with three or more years of experience in a manufacturing operations finance role, ideally within an FMCG, food or similar fast-paced production environment. Experience of supporting business case development and tracking savings initiatives is desirable.
- Hard Skills: Advanced MS Excel proficiency alongside the wider Office suite, with practical experience using ERP systems (ideally SAP) and integrated MES systems for product costing, inventory and process order management. Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles is highly desirable.
- Soft Skills: A collaborative and engaging leadership style, combined with strong stakeholder management skills to influence behaviour and embed a culture of financial ownership across operations.
