A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Production Lead at our state-of-the-art Wind Turbine Blade Manufacturing Facility in Hull, you’ll be at the forefront of the clean energy revolution—guiding a talented team dedicated to producing world-class turbine blades that help power a sustainable future. Your day will be dynamic: leading a diverse shift team, monitoring performance, solving production challenges, and ensuring that safety, quality, and efficiency standards are met and exceeded.

You’ll work closely with passionate colleagues who take pride in craftsmanship and continuous improvement. Together, you’ll ensure our blades are manufactured to the highest standards, meeting the growing global demand for renewable energy while supporting Siemens Energy’s mission to decarbonize our world. Expect a collaborative, high-energy environment where safety, accountability, and teamwork are the foundation of everything we do.

How You’ll Make An Impact

  • Deliver SQDCP (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and People) targets and ensure all key KPIs are achieved across the operational area during your shift.
  • Align and maintain the production plan to meet weekly output targets.
  • Oversee health, safety, and environmental measures to ensure a safe, compliant, and positive working culture.
  • Lead and develop Group Leaders and Team Leaders across your production area, driving strong performance and engagement.
  • Manage shift leadership performance, providing clear direction, coaching, and effective communication.
  • Ensure manufacturing and quality standards, processes, and procedures are strictly followed to deliver high-quality products on time.
  • Oversee resource utilization – people, plant, and materials – for optimal efficiency.
  • Coordinate emergency response as Duty Manager, handling escalation and communication in line with site and crisis management plans.
  • Lead operational review meetings and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Promote a culture of open feedback, accountability, and operational excellence through consistent leadership and communication.

What You Bring

  • Proven leadership experience within a manufacturing or production environment—preferably in large-scale or high-precision industries.
  • Strong understanding of production processes, safety standards, and quality management systems.
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and team-building skills to foster collaboration and accountability across diverse teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure while maintaining focus on safety, quality, and performance.
  • Experience leading operational teams through continuous improvement, 5S, and lean manufacturing principles.
  • A proactive mindset with a passion for developing people and driving positive change.
  • Willingness to work a rotating shift pattern, including days, nights, and weekends.
