Location: Blyth, Doncaster Department: Operations (Production) Shift Pattern: 4-5-5 (rotating days, nights, and weekends) Pay: £17.19 per hour (£36,776 per annum)

👋 About the Role: Lead Operator
As a Lead Operator in our Production Team, you’ll have a key leadership and hands-on role, with expectations including:
- Coordinating shift areas and responsibilities, collaborating with the Team Leader to improve productivity planning
- Conducting quality checks to ensure exceptional customer satisfaction
- Acting as the point person for all operatives on shift, supporting problem-solving and communication
- Leading daily review meetings, assigning duties, and managing staff role-changeovers
- Preparing for upcoming shifts—ensuring sufficient materials and stock are available
- Performing quality control checks to meet product specifications
- Managing machine and equipment hygiene, including changeovers and cleaning rotations
- Adhering to rehabilitation standards and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Embracing "hands-on flexback"—demonstrating humility by working alongside the team, jumping onto the production line, assisting with cleaning duties, and supporting other departments

🐶 About You: Requirements & Persona
We’re looking for a hybrid of expertise and passion:
- Previous experience in a track record leadership role (e.g., Line Leader or Area Leader) within food manufacturing
- Strong English communication skills (verbal and written)
- Numeracy proficiency (comfortable handling data, calculations, and shifts schedules)
- Shift availability for a rotating pattern covering days, nights, and weekends
- A self-motivated, hard-working attitude with a strong desire to learn
- Comfort with working with raw meat ingredients (beef, pork, chicken, turkey, lamb)
- Flexibility, pragmatism, and resilience—capable of adapting to fast-paced demands
- Pride in food quality and adherence to safety protocols
- A passion for dogs (unsurprisingly)!
