Salary: £47,320 – £75,712 + Benefits
Production Manager – Manufacturing Environment
A leading global manufacturing organisation is seeking an experienced Production Manager to join their newly established, state-of-the-art production facility in Harrogate.
This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on manufacturing leader to take ownership of production operations, drive continuous improvement, and lead a growing team within a modern, collaborative manufacturing environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence across safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost performance while supporting the ongoing growth and development of the site.
The Role
As Production Manager, you will provide leadership and direction across manufacturing operations, ensuring production plans are achieved efficiently and safely. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to improve processes, develop people, and deliver measurable operational improvements.
You will play a key role in shaping manufacturing performance through effective planning, problem-solving, data analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily production operations to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets.
- Develop and implement operational plans to support business objectives.
- Monitor and improve key performance indicators (KPIs) to enhance performance.
- Lead, coach, and develop production teams to achieve operational excellence.
- Create and maintain a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
- Manage production resources including staffing, equipment, materials, and workflow.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and lead continuous improvement projects.
- Analyse production data to support decision-making and improve efficiency.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, supply chain, and other departments to resolve issues and optimise performance.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
About You
We are looking for an experienced manufacturing professional with strong leadership capability and a passion for operational improvement.
You will ideally have:
- Proven experience managing production or manufacturing operations.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and operational performance improvement.
- Experience using data and KPIs to drive results.
- A good understanding of health and safety standards within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience leading continuous improvement activities.
- Excellent people management and coaching skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- The ability to motivate teams and successfully lead change.
