Production Manager

Location: Dudley, West Midlands
Hours: 39 hours per week
Salary: £40,000-£45,000

Are you an experienced Production Manager with a background in electronics manufacturing? Do you thrive in a fast-paced production environment and enjoy leading teams to deliver exceptional quality and on-time performance?

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established electronics manufacturer in Dudley, looking for a hands-on Production Manager to oversee day-to-day manufacturing operations and drive continuous improvement across the production facility.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business where you'll play a key role in ensuring operational efficiency, product quality, and customer satisfaction.

The Role

As Production Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading and managing the production team to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly production targets.
  • Planning and coordinating manufacturing activities to maximise efficiency and minimise downtime.
  • Ensuring products are manufactured to the highest quality standards and customer specifications.
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, quality, and cost efficiency.
  • Monitoring KPIs and implementing corrective actions where required.
  • Working closely with Engineering, Quality, Planning, and Supply Chain teams to ensure smooth production flow.
  • Managing staffing levels, training, performance, and employee development.
  • Promoting a strong culture of health and safety throughout the manufacturing operation.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve manufacturing processes and workflows.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

  • Previous experience as a Production Manager within an electronics manufacturing environment (essential).
  • Strong leadership experience with the ability to motivate and develop production teams.
  • A proven track record of improving manufacturing performance and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to decision-making.
  • Experience working with production KPIs, scheduling, and resource planning.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments.

Desirable

  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience working within ISO-regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Understanding of PCB assembly, electronic products, or electro-mechanical manufacturing processes.
