Production Manager
Location: Dudley, West Midlands
Hours: 39 hours per week
Salary: £40,000-£45,000
Are you an experienced Production Manager with a background in electronics manufacturing? Do you thrive in a fast-paced production environment and enjoy leading teams to deliver exceptional quality and on-time performance?
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established electronics manufacturer in Dudley, looking for a hands-on Production Manager to oversee day-to-day manufacturing operations and drive continuous improvement across the production facility.

The Role
As Production Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Leading and managing the production team to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly production targets.
- Planning and coordinating manufacturing activities to maximise efficiency and minimise downtime.
- Ensuring products are manufactured to the highest quality standards and customer specifications.
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, quality, and cost efficiency.
- Monitoring KPIs and implementing corrective actions where required.
- Working closely with Engineering, Quality, Planning, and Supply Chain teams to ensure smooth production flow.
- Managing staffing levels, training, performance, and employee development.
- Promoting a strong culture of health and safety throughout the manufacturing operation.
- Identifying opportunities to improve manufacturing processes and workflows.

About You
The successful candidate will have:
- Previous experience as a Production Manager within an electronics manufacturing environment (essential).
- Strong leadership experience with the ability to motivate and develop production teams.
- A proven track record of improving manufacturing performance and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
- Excellent organisational and planning skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to decision-making.
- Experience working with production KPIs, scheduling, and resource planning.
- Good communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments.

Desirable
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience working within ISO-regulated manufacturing environments.
- Understanding of PCB assembly, electronic products, or electro-mechanical manufacturing processes.
