Role Overview

This role leads a small manufacturing operation, overseeing production, planning, product development, quality, food safety, logistics, and continuous improvement to support business growth and customer satisfaction.

Client Details

An established food manufacturing business focused on producing high-quality products for multiple sales channels, including retail, wholesale, franchise, and foodservice customers. The company prioritises operational excellence, product innovation, food safety, and continuous improvement to deliver sustainable growth and exceptional customer service.

Description

  • Lead the Manufacturing Division and develop a high-performing team.
  • Manage production planning, capacity, and operational performance.
  • Drive product development, innovation, and recipe standardisation.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, HACCP, allergens, labelling, and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare the business for EHO, customer, and BRCGS audits.
  • Manage suppliers, inventory, and production planning.
  • Work closely with Sales, Supply Chain, Warehouse, and Logistics to deliver excellent customer service.
  • Drive cost reduction, labour productivity, and waste improvement.
  • Develop KPIs, budgets, and management reporting.
  • Promote Health & Safety and continuous improvement.

Profile

A successful Production Manager should have:

  • Proven expertise in product management within manufacturing within the FMCG industry.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

  • Ability to manage budgets and resources effectively.
