Production Manager
Nottingham
Shift based - days/afters/nights
£50,000 - £55,000 + shift allowance
Elevation Recruitment Group are excited to announce we are working exclusively with a global manufacturer of aerospace components to recruit a Production Manager based at their site in Nottingham.
Reporting in to the Operations Manager, the Production Manager will manage a team of approx. 20-30 skilled operatives operating a 3 shift pattern:
- Mornings: 6.00 am – 2.12 pm Monday-Friday
- Afternoons: 1.48 pm – 9.30 pm Monday-Thursday
1.48 pm – 7.00 pm Friday - Nights: 9.00 pm – 6.15 am Monday-Thursday

- Oversee the production process, ensuring that all products are produced on time and within budget.
- Monitor and maintain quality standards throughout the production process.
- Develop strategies to increase efficiency and reduce costs across production.
- Create reports detailing performance metrics related to production output, cost savings initiatives, etc.
- Use Lean Manufacturing Principles to drive out waste and increase productivity.
- Performance management of team, ensuring company values are embedded, accountability is understood and continually promoting a safety first culture.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

- Demonstrable management experience within a complex manufacturing business
- Strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and able to motivate and direct a team
- Experience of deploying continuous improvement methodologies such as lean and six sigma, ideally with accreditation.
- Must be highly organised and able to prioritise workloads
- Has a proven track record delivering improved operational performance in both favourable and unfavourable conditions, utilising cross-functional teams
