Production Manager – Bradford – Precision Engineering Salary: up to £60,000
Elevation Recruitment Group is exclusively supporting an established manufacturing business in Bradford in its search for a Production Manager. The business has a strong reputation for delivering precision engineered components into demanding sectors including defence and industrial, and this role offers a genuine route for career progression.
Reporting to the Managing Director, the Production Manager will take full ownership of the production operation, with oversight across manufacturing, planning and support functions on site.
The Role
- Lead and develop a skilled manufacturing workforce, building a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Take responsibility for production performance across output, quality, delivery, efficiency and cost.
- Drive improvement through KPIs such as OEE, yield, scrap and rework, and OTIF.
- Oversee production planning to ensure resources are aligned to customer demand.
- Work closely with engineering, quality and sales teams to meet customer requirements.
- Champion Lean principles, 5S standards, health and safety, and support the development of manufacturing capability going forward.

The Person
- Proven experience managing production teams within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of machining processes such as turning, milling and grinding.
- A hands-on approach with the credibility to support problem solving on the shop floor.
- Strong leadership skills, with experience coaching and developing teams.
- Solid grasp of production planning, continuous improvement and Lean methodologies.
- Experience within a certified manufacturing environment, subcontract manufacturing, or aerospace and defence related sectors would be an advantage.
