An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Production Manager to join a fast-growing, innovative food manufacturing business that's scaling rapidly and bringing a unique, sustainability-led product to market.

This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and enjoys building efficient processes, developing teams and driving operational performance.

The Role

As Production Manager, you'll lead the day-to-day factory operation, ensuring production targets are achieved safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards. You'll play a key role in scaling manufacturing capability, improving performance and supporting the continued growth of the business.

Working closely with supply chain, engineering and senior leadership, you'll be responsible for creating a high-performing production environment while driving continuous improvement across the factory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage daily production operations
  • Deliver production plans while balancing labour, materials and capacity
  • Own and drive production KPIs, efficiency and cost performance
  • Develop, coach and lead shift-based production teams
  • Improve manufacturing processes, line performance and waste reduction
  • Support the introduction of new equipment and production capabilities
  • Resolve operational issues quickly to minimise downtime
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, quality and health & safety standards (HACCP, BRC/IFS)

About You

  • At least 5 years' production management experience within food manufacturing or FMCG
  • Proven experience leading production teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Strong people leadership skills with experience managing shift-based operations
  • Knowledge of HACCP, BRCGS/IFS and food manufacturing compliance
  • Experience using ERP/MRP systems and production planning tools
  • A proactive, hands-on manager who enjoys solving problems and driving continuous improvement
  • Comfortable working within a growing business where you'll have genuine influence on how operations develop
