Role Description
The Production Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Sheffield, responsible for overseeing daily production operations and ensuring products meet strict quality and safety standards. The Production Manager will lead and develop production teams, monitor performance, and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste. They will ensure compliance with food safety regulations, quality assurance protocols, and health and safety requirements across the facility. The role also involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, supporting new product launches, and maintaining accurate production documentation and reporting.

Qualifications
- Strong production management skills, ideally but not essential within the bakery industry including planning, scheduling, and workflow optimization in a manufacturing or food production environment.
- Experience with quality assurance, food safety standards (e.g., HACCP), and compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Leadership capabilities to supervise, motivate, and develop diverse production teams, with a focus on performance management and coaching.
- Operational and analytical skills, including inventory management, data-driven decision-making, and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Kaizen).
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams such as procurement, logistics, and product development.
- Proficiency in using production management systems, basic IT tools, and documentation for reporting and compliance.
- Relevant experience in food, beverage, or FMCG manufacturing; prior experience in a high-quality, premium brand environment is an advantage.
- Vocational or bachelor’s degree in production management, engineering, food science, operations, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to work on-site in Sheffield, with flexibility to support peak production periods and occasional extended hours when required.
