Production Manager (GMP Operations)

Location: Charnwood, Loughborough Hours: 37.5 hours per week. Flexible working hours. Business Unit: Pharma Services Open To: Internal & external applicants Ref No.: HRJOB11389

The Opportunity

The Production Manager of GMP Operations is responsible for the safe, compliant, and efficient delivery and execution of GMP manufacturing operations within a production. This includes leadership of people, systems, and processes to achieve operational excellence, sustained inspection readiness, cost control, and business growth. The role has end-to-end ownership of day-to-day manufacturing performance, including safety, quality, delivery, cost, people capability, and continuous improvement, while ensuring sustained inspection readiness and alignment to site objectives.

What you need to be successful

  • BSc in a Life Science or Engineering subject (or equivalent)
  • Significant experience leading GMP manufacturing operations, preferably oral solid dose using a broad range of technologies
  • Proven experience leading teams in a regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Significant hands-on experience in pharmaceutical development and GMP manufacturing.
  • Experience in dealing with clients and presenting on manufacturing performance, process control, deviations, and product quality to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Hands-on experience with deviations, CAPAs, change control, and audit support.
